Love love love this area.
Love love love this area. Filled with tourists but it's so much livelier than the rest of the surrounding areas. There was always something interesting going on. If you like to people watch, this area is great! It's large so you can really plan a whole day around this area and hit all of the monuments. Have a picnic on the grass, look at the ducks and admire the duck ramps, go in and out of the surrounding museums, walk around sculpture gardens, etc. Would definitely go back! Also definitely go during the daytime but also during the night time. It's so pretty lit up.

We walked to all tourist areas which included the Capitol Building and the Lincoln Memorial. The room was large and comfortable and kept very clean. The restaurant was excellent offering a wonderful buffet breakfast and good choices in the evening if required. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I loved the location. We had a disabled room which was superb for my husband’s needs. The staff on the front desk and doormen were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
