It's expensive to go up (at midday it costs $75 for 2 tickets) and while it's a nice view, it's just a nice view! There are pictures you can get at no extra charge and there is an extensive gift shop at the bottom that has souvenirs for everybody. All in all, I'd have skipped it if I'd known then what I know now.

The view from the top is beautiful with a wide view of the Sound and the city. The restaurant is a bit pricey but the food is excellent and the scenery cannot be beaten. The water traffic is engrossing as you watch the ferries and other water traffic coming and going. One of my favorite places to go when in the city.

Google coupons online.
Google coupons online. There are good deals with some cafes and other places so you'll be able to buy tickets cheaper.
And there is a huge line from the entrance to the elevators so if you wanna see the sunset you should buy tickets to enter a place at least one hour beforehand.

loved the space needle!
loved the space needle! would love to go back at night and experience it then. If you decide to go to visit the Space Needle, look into purchasing the combination ticket and see the Glass and Garden Exhibit...less expensive...also visiting both in the evening will save you money as well.

I visited there on Memorial Day.
I visited there on Memorial Day. Although I booked a 6:30pm viewing time, the staff let me in early. There was no wait at all. I think in summer time, the early evening hours are less crowded and offer better lighting for photos.

Update - The General Manager did reach out and offered to fully refund us the parking for our inconvenience and also discounted our room by 50% due to the elevator incident.
Hotel Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the 2 queen beds suite with kitchen, so it was very comfortable. The 8th floor sun roof is a plus for sure, very beautiful city view at night given that the hotel is right next to the Space Needle and basically in the heart of downtown Seattle.
The room was comfortable and housekeeping did a great job each day. Location was away from the main tourist attractions (space needle, science centre etc.) which was nice as traffic was easier to get in and out of hotel. Two places to eat directly across the road was great.
Location was great!
The hotel was right around the corner from the Space Needle, which made it very easy to visit all the places already planned. Also it had a parking lot, which made our stay even easier.
Lovely historic hotel, very well maintained. Fantastic location for visiting Seattle - next to monorail (goes to Space needle), Pike Place Market, and link subway system. staff was very helpful with suggestions for the area.
Location was perfect. It was a 10-15 minute walk everywhere (Pike Place, Pioneer Square, Space Needle, etc). Cool bars and food nearby (Shorty's, Some Random Bar which has 25% off delicious food on Mondays, Biscuit B!tch right outside for breakfast). Staff was super nice, cold water dispenser in the lobby. Over all fantastic hotel for Seattle visitors who don't mind walking a bit. Public transit very close too.
The hotel location was fantastic. It is within walking distance of Seattle Center - Space Needle, Dale Chihuly Garden, the Monorail, MoPOP, Pacific Science Center, Seattle Opera, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Climate Pledge Arena... There are great little restaurants around every corner. So much to see and do!
Nice, simple boutique hotel in a great central location of Seattle. Short walk to public transit (light rail) and within walking distant to nearby tourist favorites (Pike Place, Seattle Center, & Space Needle)
Mainly location to Seattle Space Needle. Restaurants everywhere close bye. Dined in at local Mediterranean themed restaurant within walking distance to hotel. Added a very positive note to our one night stay. The highlight of the hotel is access to the roofs common area. Excellent for observing the sunset.
Loved the soft comfortable sheets on the bed. Shower was great. The view of the city was wonderful. Hotel is located in such a great location to Chihuly, Space Needle, Pike's Market. The bartenders were amazing cocktails were top notch. The valet guys were awesome! They gave us suggestions for dinner, told us about the Monorail, etc. A great experience and we would definitely stay there again if we ever come back to Seattle. We used the gym and it was definitely a nice gym for a hotel!

What Guests Said About Space Needle:
the natural environment, the man-made structures such as the Space Needle in Seattle, the monuments and museums and even the people
For me part of sightseeing includes checking out the crowds and the local people and how they interact among themselves and visitors. Sightseeing is more than just looking at the prairies in Kansas or beautiful Black Hill of South Dakota, Yellowstone River running through Wyoming and Montana, or the forest and coastline in Oregon or even the Cactus Forest we saw in Arizona. It also about checking out the people in crowded streets of downtown Seattle, Vancouver, Victoria, and San Francisco or the people who or at the other table is restaurants in Newport, Oregon or San Diego California or the waiters and waitresses who served us in Oklahoma City, Seattle, Vancouver, Oakland and El Paso. There is a lot to see on the wonderful continent and my wife and I take try to take in all the sights; the natural environment, the man-made structures such as the Space Needle in Seattle, the monuments and museums and even the people.
