Arrive early to avoid the (human) crowds. Parking can be difficult in the middle of the day. The penguins are a delight. They're accustomed to humans, so they lounge around as if you're not even there.

Plus, there are some parking spots reserved to the hotel guests. Our room was huge and bright. The terrace of the room was superb, we had a 360° view on the harbour. Breakfast takes place at the "Berta's" restaurant just downstairs and has a buffet of cold food. Hot dishes can be picked from the menu. I recommend you to take the water-front room, you'll get the amazing view from the window. Several nice restaurants with seafood are located nearby. The village itself is quiet, safe and calm, without crowds of tourists. Bonus is cute baboons are stranding on the streets. If you’d like to buy African print clothing and textiles, there’s a lovely down town store with several choices. The view from the apartment is gorgeous and it’s not too far from Boulders Beach where one can spot the Southern penguins.

The host was very welcoming and happy to help out and give recommendations (also easy instructions and communication via WhatsApp). The apartment was clean, we had a tv with Netflix, good internet and all the basics you need (shampoo, 2 water bottles etc). The place was in a safe guarded place. The staff was very kind, the breakfast has all needed.
