Staff were friendly and there was an abundance of wildlife. Be sure to take a torch for your night-time excursions. The complex includes a very good Information Centre.

We heard from friends that there wasnt much of a kitchen so they couldn’t cook a meal, but ours had a 2pit stove so we could cook a basic meal. We also heard the restaurant was rather pricey and not that great, so we went to the Derwent Bridge Hotel on our second night for dinner and had fantastic meals and a great time. The breakfast buffet at the Lodges were good and a great way to start your day before heading onto the walks. The location is amazing, what a great getaway.
