We had a really nice time at Mirador de Quetzales. The cabins are so cute & cozy and there is so much birdlife all around the property (we would see hummingbirds from our bed). It's a beautiful place to relax for a while and just enjoy the views, birds and bees all around. They easily organised tours and the food was great (we are vegan and they made some meals off menu for us and all were fantastic).

The trails are a great addition to the lodge, and the fire in the main building is good for warmth! The heater and blankets in the room, too, made for a comfortable sleep. Hummingbirds accompany the breakfast views, too!

We stayed in one of the new lodges which had recently been constructed. The Hummingbird garden is an excellent addition to the reception/restaurant area.

The only reason I didn’t rate it higher is because my husband is tall and this lodge was a bit of a challenge for him 😂 He didn’t fit in the shower because of the sloping roof haha but it was only for one night so it was fine. But be aware of this when you are tall. my husband is 1.98m. The floor was also a bit off but the staff was really nice and breakfast was great and they have a hummingbird garden 🥰 Dinner was alright.

It is central to the region where birders find plentiful of birds in varieties and quantities. The staff are warm and friendly. The restaurant serves good quality food at very reasonable prices. The jacuzzi in the Mountain View bungalow is ice cream on top of a pie - so nice!
