Right in front of Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Lodge Denbey has an outdoor hot tub, a Western/Japanese restaurant and a ski rental shop. It offers Western rooms with beds and Japanese-style with traditional futon bedding.

Overall the best place we have stayed in Japan. The food was incredible and really well prepared. The staff were kind, welcoming and helpful. The onsen was amazing and didn’t mind they we had tattoos which was really nice and didn’t feel awkward about it. It gave a really nice family vibe however was also an exceptional well run lodge. Will 100% come back again, we keep comparing it the other places we have been and nothing compares.

Resembling a cosy European ski hotel, Lodge Hahnenkamm offers direct skiing access to the Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort. The hotel is a 1-minute walk from a ski school, and ski rental shops are also nearby. Free Wi-Fi is available, and the property offers free early check-in and late check-out.

The Lodge is entirely smoke-free, and it features a lounge with a TV and nature views. Guests can unwind at the fireplace, or go hiking or canoeing in the vicinity.

The location is perfect as you can leave the house with your skis on. The family is so nice and accommodating. We came with 2 kids and they made everything so easy for us. We absolute loved this place and hope to come back for next season.

Set in Iiyama, 21 km from Ryuoo Ski Park and 31 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, White Lodge Fukujuso offers mountain views and free WiFi.

A ski pass sales point, ski-to-door access and ski storage space are all offered at the lodge, and guests can go skiing in the surroundings.

Great little lodge with lots of charm. Clean, comfortable, and great location right at the base of the ski hill. If you want a smaller ski hill with the same snow as Nozawa, Togari is a good spot. Little onsen in the basement was nice too. We felt it was really good value here for the price. Gábor, the guy running it, was very friendly, and went above and beyond to help us find extra ski gear when we showed up lacking. Really saved my day on the hill!

The location was close and great for walking to everything and the accommodation was modern and clean. The lodge is run by a Japanese family and they were really helpful and friendly. We Loved the morning breakfast they made each morning. Bus stop just 50 meters away to free bus to ski resort. Highly recommended and will be coming back.

This lodge style accommodation was great for our family of four, with two teenage boys. Amazing full breakfast served each morning, mix of traditional and western style options. Small private Onsen bath for use of guests. Easy walk to various public Onsen. Easy walk to restaurants and convenience stores. Our host was a delight. Very helpful, and when my son hurt his knee snowboarding, she was very helpful in arranging transport for us. Shared common room with couch and table where we could eat take-away meals. Drying room downstairs.

Lodge Seizan was an amazing find and we would highly recommend it. Everything was fantastic- the room, breakfast, location, cleanliness- it was all perfect. The staff were super lovely and helpful. It even has its own Onsen! It is located very close to the main gondola, literally a 1 minute walk. It’s also next door to ‘the dojo’ which is great for a drink or a snack and a fun place for kids to play at night time (the village is pretty quiet at night). We will definitely stay here again and everyone we met there felt the same.
