The meals were incredible particularly the dinners which were different each night and allowed us to try many traditional Japanese dishes. The traditional rooms and onsen were excellent. My boys loved to play with their gorgeous dog Moko each day. The owners were so friendly and always available to answer questions. The lodge is super close to Yokoteyama ski resort which had more than enough ski runs for us. We would definitely recommend this place, thank you for a great stay!

Yokete to jump on a ski lift or a local bus that shuttles you to the other mountain locations. The couple who own the lodge are so nice and serve the best meals (breakfast and dinner). I enjoyed relaxing in the onsen, after long days of skiing and being entertained by their beautiful golden retriever, Moku. If you have the chance to ski in Shiga Kogen, I would recommend this traditional Japanese lodge.ElizabethSolo traveller

The breakfasts were outstanding, kids loved the pizzas for dinner and we all enjoyed the private onsen. It’s opposite the lift and ski school area which was fab.
