This hotel is so relaxing and such a special place! Maykel and his family make you feel so welcome and taken care of. I stayed in the upper room with an amazing terrace overlooking the lake. It was comfortable and peaceful. I was able to organize a private kayaking tour as well as schedule an hour massage on my terrace! I enjoyed staying in this area of the island as it was more remote (close to San Ramon waterfall) and I found it interesting to explore around Maderas volcano and see the local’s way of life. Do note that if you rent a scooter, the roads on the “Maderas side” of the island are gravel/rock. Use a LOT of caution while driving in this area! Or spend a bit more and rent an ATV for added safety. Highly recommend staying at The Jungle when visiting Ometepe.

The setting and surroundings are lovely with the cabins and rooms in pleasant gardens. Merida is quite remote and peaceful. The range of activities offered was good, we particularly enjoyed the kayak on Rio Istian. The food was tasty and freshly prepared with generous helpings. Our room was clean, with daily cleaning offered. This place had lots of potential and if you are wanting to stay somewhere remote and away from the crowds then it is both.

The location and atmosphere is very quiet and peaceful, a stunning place to watch the sunset. It is very handy to be able to rent a moto there as you will end this to get around.

This place is secluded and has the best view I’ve seen in ometepe. The sunsets are second to none! The pool is nice to have and the cabin view as are amazing ! Would definitely recommend this place !!

I really loved my stay at Finca Magdalena. It is so peaceful and quiet there. The rooms are spacious and the view from the balcony just amazing. There are lovely hiking trails in the woods. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will certainly be back.

this place is absolutely awesome!!! breakfast is really good with local/homegrown ingredients, communal kitchen available, cute dogs on the property, you can watch wildlife from your terrace, staff is really nice
