The location was incredible! They are very informative and kind! Their land has been reforested, an absolutely iconic example, the food was wonderful, and the prices were fair for the location! They grow and roast their own coffee, it was delicious! On the hike to the waterfall many of the plant species were labled which was new and refreshing!

Found this hotel while planning a trip to Machu Picchu for my boyfriend's birthday, and it was magical! Not too far off the main square in Aguas Calientes, and it felt like we were the only people there. We booked the room all the way at the top with the balcony, which was a litte extra, and worth every penny. We were very pleased with the stay. The staff was responsive and helpful, and breakfast in the morning was great. It was exactly what we needed for an intimate getaway spot, and I would return without hesitation.

What a beautiful little piece of paradise! Nestled in the mountains, away from all, right on the banks of the Urubamba, whose soothing flow you can hear all through the night. The staff are very courteous, letting us check in several hours early and helping us to make arrangements with taxi drivers etc. as we didn't speak much Spanish. There's an awesome, very cute Rottweiler called Ukuku who keeps wanting to play fetch as well:)

The breakfast was great; it was served to our balcony overlooking the Andes; the rooms are all nicely designed with sweeping views; the food at their restaurant is very good; the manager Pablo was super helpful and friendly; also they have a zip line there which I tried for the first time and it was super safe and professional; all in all an amazing stay: I highly recommend Vertical lodge for all those seeking a space away from the Tourist traps.

The place is beautiful, the staff is super friendly and helpful, the food and drinks were delicious, and being steps away from Machu Picchu was magical. It was very expensive, but it was worth the splurge. It was absolutly luxurious, from being met at the train in Agua Caliente and seen off there a few days later. Shout out to Jorge, Eddie, Sebastian, and all the other staff at the Sanctuary Lodge. They were exceptional.

Lots of stairs to reach the property but not a problem for us...and we were rewarded with fabulous view of the town and mountains. Our beds were outstanding and had amazing sheets. The shower was the best of our month long trip. Breakfast (5am) was perfectly cooked eggs and yogurt, cheese, bread etc. Excellent. This was a perfect place to stay in the town. They also arranged a guide for us for Machu Picchu and that was excellent, as well. I highly recommend to anyone who doesn't have an issue with stairs.

We had a glitch with hot water an internet that were quickly fixed by a very helpful and friendly staff. They carried our bags to and from the station. We had a lovely terrace looking over a central green space and there are walking paths with some private seating that are peaceful and quiet. The restaurant has very good food, great service and gracious dining. The entire team offers nothing but the highest level of customer service which made us feel very pampered and appreciated. This lodge is truly a place to unwind and find your own sanctuary.

We had a bath so we vould have hot bath after whole day walking and kids liked that too.
