We really liked this hotel. It has character. The hosts were very kind to us, they gave us good local recommendations and even lent us snow shoes to take a walk in the surroundings. The pool and hot tub are wonderful after a day of skiing. Breakfast is DELICIOUS. Highly recommended hotel!

It's location was perfect and there is so much to do at the resort. We were there during the summer and the alpine slide was a BLAST! We rode it over and over again. Gondola to the top was awesome too. A lot of places there and in town close REALLY early, but they just don't seem to have staff to keep them open later, so be prepared for that. It might be different during the winter when their ski season is in full swing. No AC, so since they were on the warmer side of July it was a little stuffy in our room, but the box fans provided kept the cool air moving from outside, so it wasn't a bid deal.

Location is in a woodsy location 40 minutes south of the Grand Lake Rocky Mountain National Park entrance. The park is one of the most scenic drives I have ever made; the lodge is an excellent starting point.

She had complimentary homemade cookies, a wonderful breakfast just like a bed and breakfast. The lodge is in a beautiful natural setting but just minutes from Fraser and then a few more to Winter Park. My only regret is that I could not stay longer! Carla and her Husband truly make you feel at home!
