We booked this lodge by chance, hence our expectations were low. But what a gem it turned out to be! Entering the lodge through the macadamia groves you arrive at a green oasis. Large and well-maintained farm surrounded by old trees and blooming bushes. The next thing we were amazed by was the sounds! Like the best bird and insect orchestra. Complimenting these wild surroundings you get a cozy room with a comfortable bed and bathroom. The hosts – Charles and Mine – are simply awesome. Without them, this farm would be just a cozy place. But they made our stay special. From the very first moment when we entered the lodge, we felt that we were in caring hands. How passionate they are about everything they do! Prepping the food (definitely go for their traditional SA dinner), mindful suggestions about travel in the area, and unique information about the region. We felt how the love for Africa started raising in our hearts during our conversations. Finding the fresh flowers in the bathroom and being suggested the chair next to the fire in the evening – such small things made our stay unforgettable. We have only booked two nights and this is something we regret. Getting a few more days to stay would've been perfect. Just staying there doing nothing was already an experience. What an absolutely amazing experience this was. We loved every moment of our stay. The room was gorgeous and the view from the bathtub was to die for. Then you get to reception and it is an absolutely breathtaking sight, could sit there for hours. Our hosts and owners Russell and Janice made us feel so welcome, we actually felt right at home from the get go. The food !!!!!! The best I have had in a very very long time. Can't wait to go back.

This lodge is amazing. It is located in a forest area. You can take walks around the lodge and you can see impala and Kudu buck. The rooms are capacious with a private bathroom. There is a bar, a barbecue area and a dining area for breakfast. This is a B&B not dinner so you can find small restaurants in Hazyview if you want to have lunch or dinner as well. We went to the restaurant Tanks which offers take aways. It was only a 4 minute drive from the lodge. There is a swimming pool and you are situated within a forest , you can hear the river flowing by your bedroom and view hippos drinking water if you are lucky . I had a great time at this lodge. You can take a walk through the forest on the designated path track and you can see male or female nyala up close if you are lucky. The lodge is only an hour drive from Kruger International Airport so it is possible to fly here . I would highly recommend staying in this beautiful African lodge

What a wonderful stay. Friendly owner and staff. Amazing 4 course meal and lovely range of wines. Such a beautiful setting and so quiet. Wish we could have stayed longer than one night but alas such is the nature of business. Hope to come back for a more leisurely visit.

We were completely amazed! It is situated right IN the Kruger, means, you will have wildlife encounters while lying on the pool or enjoying dinner. The food was exceptional with great quality ingredients (I saw a big "Bio" truck delivering the ingredients). We ordered take away breakfast as we started early our game drive which was exceptional too. Outdoor AND Indoor shower which we loved! Numbi gate is a short drive 15 min drive away. Absolutely THE DEAL for visiting Kruger

The pool was beautiful, and the rooms are amazing and clean. you can really tell that the team there really cares about your experience and they thought about EVERYTHING! our best stay in the trip!
