Set on wooden cabins built on trees, Reserva Natural Tanimboca offers jungle lodging only 11 km from Leticia city. Breakfast is provided, and fishing and wildlife watching activities are available. Our stay here was a highlight of our trip. The treehouse is well designed with great views. The 1km walk from the reception to treehouse is really enjoyable as you can spot lots of animals on the way! We also really enjoyed the night walk…everything was great!

My guide Angel was super knowledgable and helped me with whatever I wished to do or see. You can see the the amount of thought and care that has gone into the construction of the accommodation. You can watch the "babaleches" hop from tree to tree as you relax in the communal area and enjoy a home cooked meal. You really feel at peace with nature in Tucuchira.

Tucked away in the Amazon forest, Omshanty offers bungalows and rooms with shared bathrooms 11 km from the centre of Leticia. I had a great stay! My cabin was super charming--rustic but comfortable. There were many birds, and occasional monkeys and other cool wildlife, passing through, which I enjoyed immensely. The restaurant on site was great for all meals of the day (breakfast was included, the restaurant was open to the public for lunch, and dinner could be requested), and the food was excellent. There were multiple nature reserves nearby, which were easy to walk to, as was Las Amazonas Balneario-Restaurant (swimming pool & restaurant).

Hotel Amazon is located in the heart of Leticia, a few minutes from Amazon River on the border between Colombia, Peru and Brazil. It offers a hot tub, massage services and spacious bungalows. The hotel is centrally located - 5 minutes away from the airport by taxi/tuk tuk and also minutes away from the boat terminal. Easy walk to Santander park. The bungalows are spacious and comfortable with big bathrooms and good aircon and fans. Nice garden, where you can grab a drink from the hotel’s bar. We appreciated the choice of regional breakfast options (Colombian, Brazilian or Peruvian). Lovely and super helpful staff, who let us store our bags while we travelled out of town and advised on migration process between Colombia and Brazil.
