It’s amazing what he is building there - the guesthouse, the farm and the chocolate manufacturing! You are really immersed in nature and it’s so tranquil and beautiful!

Quetzal Dorado Eco-Lodge is located in Los Naranjos, only 1.5 km away from the entrance of Tayrona National Park in El Zaino. The property is an eco-friendly hostel that offers private rustic rooms with balcony and bathroom. Beautiful resort, overlooking the jungle and the river. Very welcoming with a charming atmosphere, you can see the love and care that went into creating the place (even the shower has hot water). Perfectly located to explore Tayrona National Park (2 minutes down the road by bus) or the beaches located outside the park (5 minutes with the bus the other way). Also the perfect place to spend a few days just relaxing by the pool, reading, getting a massage (which was excellent and from the massage room had the best views of the landscape) and enjoying the sunset with a happy hour cocktail in the hand. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the food is great. Highly recommended!

Offering a private beach area, Playa Pikua Ecolodge is a solar-powered property situated in Guachaca between two rivers and the Caribbean sea. Santa Marta is 40 km away and Tayrona Natural Park is within a 10 minute drive. Free private parking is available on site. Our stay at Playa Pikua was amazing from the location and beautiful beach to the nicest staff and hotel owners you could imagine. The hotel itself offers a calm and relaxing retreat while being perfectly located to do some tours to closeby attractions, and visit nearby restaurants. On top of that, the cabins were clean and wonderful, the food we ordered was delicious and we felt completely safe and at ease at every moment.

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. The host is amazing. She really helped us with literally everything and went above and beyond. She arrange transport, boat trips for us and also recommended restaurants - both of which were AMAZING. She is really friendly and welcoming.

Waking up in that beautiful location was like a dream. I loved watching the sunrise to the chorus of birds. I didn’t want to leave and definitely will return. I loved the view, the architecture, the decor, the host, the location, the nature, the multiple decks, hammocks, everything!

An à la carte breakfast is available every morning at the lodge. What makes this place so great, as so many have alluded to, is Fiona and Helmut - lovely, hospitable hosts who do everything they can to make you feel welcome. Loved the breakfasts and Helmut’s cooking in the evening was excellent too. The location is just magnificent and the views from the Finca and from the poolside are unforgettable - banana trees, jungle and the beautiful coastline. It is a rustic place but with lots of beautiful touches and a great spot from which to totally unwind and escape - though we also used it as a base to explore nearby Tayrona National Park and Palomino, both short bus rides away from the bottom of the hill. Thank you guys for sharing your slice of paradise with us, we miss it already!

A children's playground is available on site and hiking can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. Julian and Camilla are great, friendly and reliable hosts. The location of Reserva Atashi is a heaven of quietness and peacefulness with great views and beautiful birds surrounding you. The sheltered dining terrace where all meals are served has a great view as well and Julian treated us with fresh and tasty food every day and we could freely pick our meal times. Swimming all by ourselves in the 15-minute downhill-walk river with cristal clear waters was phantastic and one ends up asking oneself why one should go for swimming in the sea instead after all. The cabanas balcony and open bathroom with complete privacy all day long completed a perfect stay with complete detachment from all worries of city life. After 4 nights we felt that our "batteries" were fully recharged. Reserva Atashi is a place that we will remember for a long time as a complete source of energy and happiness!
