The breakfast room / terrace was the best- there were so many birds to watch. Unfortunately due to rain and cloud I never saw the volcano but it didn’t dampen my stay. In the dark - Edmundo took me and another guest around the garden and we saw lots of wildlife- it was amazing / I saw more there than I did on the night / jungle trek! The room was perfect - large - great shower with really hot water and a mini fridge. All the staff were super. I only had one breakfast and it was good.

This property was absolutely the best lodge I ever stayed at. It's super nice and has the best views of the volcano. There are so many trails to take on the property and the daily free tour gives you a great idea on how to get started. It felt like a luxury in the rainforest but also very ecologically involved.

The restaurant at the lodge serves local and Latin American cuisine. Quiet , peaceful, super friendly staff. Very comfortable beds , great breakfast and they accommodated my need for GF as I am Coeliac. The grounds were absolutely stunning and the rooms were huge. Amazing wildlife, we saw toucans , iguanas and heard the howler monkeys.

Vegetarian and dairy-free options can also be requested. The food was fantastic, cooked and delivered to us. Authentic tico food straight from the owner's kitchen. The host even led us on a little tour of the property at dusk to have a look at all the cool little frogs (ranas) and other critters which I would highly recommend. The location is great and very peaceful/serene. The hosts were genuinely the nicest people we met during our trip and were very generous and went the extra mile.

Close to La Fortuna and far enough away that you were out of the busyness. The kitchen was stocked well enough to make simple meals. King bed was comfortable. The view of Arenal Volcano was amazing when it wasn’t too cloudy. The patio was sheltered from the rain so you could still enjoy coffee outside in the morning. Property felt secure with remote control opening and closing.
