We had a wonderful stay and it was the perfect base for us to explore the island. The owner was so helpful with advice about car rental before we arrived. The desserts made with local fruits were delicious and very appreciated after a day of hiking. Loved the private deck and bath. We would definitely stay here again if we come back for a visit!

El Cottage Morinokokage ofrece servicio de alquiler de casas de campo con hamaca. Hay WiFi gratuita en las habitaciones. Our host Mr Nakashima was very kind and generous during our stay. He always replied to our messages via bookings.com very quickly, so it was easy to ask any questions and get help whenever we needed. When we had to change our travel dates and book a different room for the last day, he was very understanding and went the extra mile to assist us in transferring our luggage to the new room. Needless to say, the cottages themselves were adorable and lovely! Very clean and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The best thing is the shoe dryer machine provided in the room. Because it rains so much in Yakushima, that device was invaluable in preparing our footwear for another day of adventure as they would be dry in no time! On the only one clear night we experienced, we were able to see some stars outside the room. The atmosphere is peaceful and you can hear birds chirping in the morning. It rained almost every day we visited, and yet we truly enjoyed our time in Yakushima thanks to the warm welcome from his family & colleagues, and appreciate all the help (especially advising us on the correct port to go for our departure ferry).

Outstanding cottage with great views and lovely friendly hospitality. Calm and personal hosts. Attention to detail in spades: we’ll be back!

El Cottage Yakusugi está situado a 10 km de Shiratani Unsuikyo, en su arquitectura y decoración predomina el cedro japonés Yakusugi, con lo que se construyeron paredes, techo, columnas y muebles. Lovely Japanese “feel’. Great facilities. Very good value.

Cottage Kutsuroki se encuentra a 2,5 km de Playa de Harutahama y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Comfortable beds, clean apartement, great price. Very nice and helpful host.
