Belle Vue Nishiura ligt in Minami Uonuma in de regio Niigata, op 3 minuten lopen van het skigebied Ishiuchi-Maruyama. Het biedt directe toegang tot de skipistes en een skiopslag. We had an amazing experience at Belle Vue Nishiura. The location is perfect, and the lodging and amenities are clean and well-maintained. Satoshi was an amazing guest and went out of his way to ensure our stay went smoothly, including a personal shuttle from the train station. Skiing is close by within a couple-minute walk, and the ability to rent nice ski gear directly from Belle Vue (for cheaper than the resort!) was a nice touch. We enjoyed the on-site baths at the end of the day to relax after a day on the mountain. We'll be coming back for sure, thanks Satoshi!

Arai Villa Myoko ligt in Myoko, op 47 km van Zenkō-ji Tempel, 49 km van station Nagano, en 23 km van Nojiri-meer. The house was spacious and comfortably furnished. The beds were very comfortable with high quality linen. The villa is close to Lotte Arai resort (about 5 minute drive) and the managers of the villa were extremely helpful in arranging transport for our group with a neighbour, who was charming and helpful. The manager also arranged dinner for us at a local restaurant which usually only offers lunch and this was a very special experience for us. The drying room was excellent for our ski gear. From the house are views of the surrounding rice fields and up to the mountains.

Pension Moomin Papa is a very cute and cosy home from home. It was very warm with lovely underfloor heating, clean and tidy. You can order home cooked breakfast and dinner. The other travellers were nice and friendly. I loved my stay here!

Hunter Lodge is gunstig gelegen op 4 minuten lopen van het skigebied Akakura Onsen en op 4 minuten lopen van het busstation. Het biedt gratis WiFi in alle ruimtes en gratis bagageopslag. The family that runs the hotel and restaurant are the kindest, most helpful people we have ever met. We were constantly greeted by smiles, asked if we needed help, and our kids were even given gifts when we left.

Myoko Ski Lodge Akakura Village ligt in het dorp Akakura Onsen, in het centrum van de skigebieden van Myoko. Het biedt een prachtig uitzicht over de vallei en gratis WiFi. I’d offer an 11th star if Booking.com would let me. The Myoko Ski Lodge is perfectly located and a lovely residence, but the hosts – Geoff and Tania – are what made this a truly amazing trip for us. This was our first time skiing in Japan, and we could not have picked a better spot to stay. It’s walkable to an Akakura Onsen chairlift as well as the free shuttle stop that can take you to Akakura Kanko. The hosts helped us with transport and gear rental on our first day, allowing us to hit the slopes quickly and easily. They also helped the two non-skiers in our group set up interesting activities for the week. Our rooms were very comfortable for our family of five, breakfast was plentiful, and the onsen (natural hot springs) on the first floor were the perfect way to end a day of skiing. The town is lovely, not too big, not too small, and plenty of easy dining options. We were a tiny bit leery of the shared spaces when we booked (as we treasure our privacy), but I’m convinced this is THE way to go for a ski vacation. We made some great friends on the trip and it was so nice to hang out around the fire and share stories over a drink or two with other guests. The kids had a blast and we all enjoyed playing games in the play area/den. It truly felt like a home away from home. I thought a Japan ski trip might be a one-time experience, but I’m convinced that THIS is the way to ski – zero lines, great snow, good food, small town (non-commercialized) feel, onsens, and hosts who seemingly live to share this great experience with their guests. We will be back for sure!

Myoko Mountain Lodge ligt op slechts 650 m van het skiresort Akakura Kanko en op 5 minuten rijden van het skiresort Akakura Onsen. Michael and Tamami, hanging out with guests, very walkable to lifts and town, Michael’s tireless efforts for his guests

Morino Lodge - Myoko in Myoko biedt accommodatie met uitzicht op de bergen, een terras, een restaurant en een bar. Zowel WiFi als privéparkeren is bij de lodge gratis beschikbaar. The staff at Morino lodge were so kind and amazing. the beds were comfy and the onsen is so nice. right next to many shops and the akukura onsen lift. there is also a free shuttle to nearby mountains at the lodge. we will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone!

池の平温泉 ロッジ コクハ bevindt zich in Myoko in de regio Niigata en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi, gratis privéparkeren en toegang tot een thermaalbad. The owners of the lodge , Hideo and Yokan are the most wonderful and generous people. Their breakfast and dinners are beautiful and very large. I had trouble eating all of the food provided which they take great care in preparing. They regularly offer support and advice on local activities. And if they have a discount voucher for local ski rental and lift tickets they are sure to offer it. The lodge is only 150m away from the ski lifts at ikenotaria. . Very easy to walk. Easy walk to the Alpine blick spa as well for a magnificent onsen experience (they had discount vouchers for that as well). The lodge has its own onsen which was great. Bus stop from Myoko kogen station is only 400m away. As is the Myoko shuttle bus which links sugiohara and akakura onsen. The property is great value for money.
