Ruapehu Country Lodge is situated alongside Waimarino Golf Course, and is just a 5-minute drive from Ohakune's town centre. Wanganui Airport is 1 hour and 15 minutes' drive away. Bernie and Marie were absolutely delightful hosts and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The property is conveniently located near to the various activities in the area, which made travelling to and from a breeze! Breakfast was also amazing, and with sheep and alpaca at the property as well, I can’t recommend this stay more!

Plateau Lodge is located 15 minutes’ drive from UNESCO World Heritage listed Tongariro National Park, where guests can enjoy skiing, hiking, cycling and paddling activities. A daily, shuttle service is available hourly from 6:00 until 9:00 to the Tongariro Crossing & National park. Free parking is available. Very comfy bed, good bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen and nice lounge to spend the time during the pouring rain. Also: Tina’s massage was amazing! If you have the chance: go for it.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and comfy, very nice aesthetic overall.
