Hopewell Lodge is in the heart of the Kenepuru Sound is easily accessed by boat from Havelock for only $30 per person. Enjoy a beautiful 30 minute boat cruise through the Pelorus and Kenepuru Sound, getting here is just part of the adventure. There are scheduled runs available. Or you can come to Hopewell by plane, floatplane, or kayak. And there is a water taxi service available from Picton, Portage and Te Mahia. We are happy to help you organise your transfer. the property is secluded and beautifully located in a heavenly and gorgeous location. Mike and Lynley are amazing hosts. Kitchen is a fabulous place to prepare food. family style dinner table is a great place to enjoy other travelers.

Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi. We loved everything about our stay at Lochmara Lodge. We stayed for two nights with our family and It was a little bit of a splurge, but did not disappoint! The location was stunning, the fact that you got there by water taxi made it remote and uncrowded, and there were plenty of things to do (hike, paddleboard, kayak). Also, the food was delicious and the staff was accommodating and helpful.
