Guests at the lodge can enjoy a continental breakfast. The views were sensational and the apartment was fabulous! We were extremely lucky to get fresh baked bread the first morning and the second morning we got home made crossaints. Both mornings we had fresh fruit, yoghurt and condiments. Such an awesome place to end our Honeymoon and 3.5 week trip around New Zealand.

The luxury and spacious guest suites are all located in the old farm outbuildings. Each has a flat-screen TV and a kitchenette equipped with a microwave and fridge. There is a private bathroom with bathrobes in each unit. Towels and bed linen are available. Waipoua Lodge exceeded all our expectations. The website photos are good, yet don't quite do it justice. Not sure how one would capture this place in pictures. From the arrival greeting by Ann to the gourmet dinner prepared by Fiona, we were constantly impressed. The quality and cleanliness of the rooms were superb. We spent time after dinner in the jacuzzi, which was a welcome treat. Our only regret was just spending one night. It is a place to unwind and experience nature. There is also an extensive library and many many videos for additional entertainment. Everything was first class. The lodge guests were international - from Germany, Switzerland, France, and the U.S. Makes for interesting interchanges if desired. Tane Mahuta is a short drive away. Treat yourself and be sure to stay at Waipoura Lodge. It's a true delight.

Each suite at Bay of Islands Lodge New Zealand has a private balcony with views of the sea and surrounding countryside. The views are beautiful and the hosts are amazing. Glennis and Dave made us feel so welcome and helped us re-arrange our plans when they were a bit overly ambitious. The breakfasts were delicious and the place is nicely decorated, comfortable and just fantastic. We felt like family the second we drove down the driveway and were greeted as we pulled up. A truly wonderful stay.
