This was the highlight of my visit to Peru. I arrived on the Titicaca train in the early evening, and a driver had been organized to drive me to the local port, where I was escorted by Juan, an exceptional host in every sense of the word, to the island which he and his father had built. During my stay there, Juan invited me on mini tours around some of the islands, where I learned more about Uros culture and history. The Peruvian meals prepared by his wife Amalia were exceptional- always on time, delicious, substantial and inviting. I was never hungry. Juan ensured that my stay at Amalia was truly exceptional and something which I'll never forget- watching the starry nights from a comfortable and warm bed, enjoying the sounds of silence of the lake, being mesmerized by the sunsets, and learning more about the natural beauty and wildlife of the area. This was truly an amazing experience!

With mountain views, Uros Lake Titicaca Lodge is located in Puno and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden and terrace. Complimentary WiFi is provided. Very nice experience living on the Uros islands. The accomodation is basic but has everything you need. The host family is outstanding and the trips with Carlos in his boats were great fun for us and our kids. A boat/shop passes by each morning to buy some basic stuff, and dinner (very good)/drinks can be bought (cheap).Gas heating in the room and warm bottles to keep your feet warm in the bed. Dont forget to bring cash!!

César, eieren, var utrolig hyggelig, snakket godt engelsk og vartet opp med god mat og aktiviteter. Vi fikk en super omvisning rundt øyene. Located on Uros floating island, Uros Summa Paqari is situated in Puno, 7 km from Titicaca Lake. Puno Port is 5 km away. All rooms are fitted with private bathroom facilities. The location had amazing views - what else could you ask for being situated in the middle of Lake Titicaca. Vidal and his family were lovely and friendly. The rooms was exactly as the photo depicted. Our favorite spot would be the lounge area by the lake where you can just sit the whole day. The bathroom is also very comfortable - their toilet is flushable and they have a water heater. Lots of blankets are provided to keep you warm during the night. The food they served though simple was actually one of the best we had in Peru, and that's after dining at Lima and Cusco.

Located 5 km off the coast of Puno and built on the Uros floating islands, Uros Qhantany Lodge offers accommodations in the middle of Lake Titicaca. The coast of Puno is a 30-minute sail away. Enchanting and peaceful location. The hosts were attentive, welcoming and very informative. They offered a small tour of the Uros Islands in traditional clothing which was a very nice touch. We also did a short traditional boat tour at sunset and we were shown how traditional fishing is being done. The food that was prepared was good, simple and plentiful.

Featuring a garden, a terrace as well as a restaurant, Titicaca tikary's lodge is set in Puno, within 5.9 km of Estadio Enrique Torres Belon and 5.9 km of Puno Port. I think it was the most beautiful place I've ever stayed in! There are 3 houses on a floating island, owned by a father and a son. They are extremely nice people! The price is ridiculously small for what they offer. The view from the huge windows of the house is amazing, and so is the stay on the floating terrace.
