Our stay at Babanango Game reserve at the Madwaleni River lodge and Zulu Rock Lodge was an experience we will never forget. The Lodge is a fantastic " tent" with all the comfort you can imagine. Our Diner was served as a private dinner at the libary, in the winecellar and other places. We also had a suprise breakfast outdoors in the wild, absolutly fantastic. Under the guidance of one of the best experts, mr Eduan Balt, we enjoyed the gamedrives in the morning and afternoon. We never learned so much during all those gamedrives in our whole life. Special thanks to Lungelo, Lunka and Ntombi and everyone of the staff , they were all very friendly and forthcoming, This was a once in a lifetime experience.

This is a little slice of heaven with all the creature comforts you could wish for. Beautiful layout. The Lodge is really spacious and has all the luxury touches, The cottages, though smaller, have equally stunning views, thoughtful layout for comfort and leisure. Great wifi connection and DSTV for those who want it. We also had the most incredible, delicious breakfast buffet. But really it is all about the quiet, majestic beauty of the gorge. Truly spoiled.

Lions Valley Lodge is situated within the Nambiti Private Game Reserve, home to the Big Five as well as antelope and an abundant birdlife. The lodge features an infinity pool and free WiFi. Kindness of the staff. Very comfortable rooms. The fire place in the room as the weather was cold and rainy. The food was excellent. Quiet place. A certain intimacy as we are not too many poeple per main lodge. Our Ranger, Bianca, was absolutely awesome.

Set on the banks of the Tugela River, 22 km north of Winterton, Tugela River Lodge features self-catering accommodation 13 km from Spioenkop Nature Reserve and 22 km from Winterton Museum. Jacuzzi was perfect to cool down in on hot days, sitting out on the deck listening to the river and nature around us is wxactly what we needed!

Perched on top of a hill, Umzolozolo Private Safari Lodge is situated in the malaria-free Nambiti Big 5 Private Game Reserve. It boasts a rim flow pool overlooking a valley. Probably one of the best lodges I have stayed in - they really stand out in terms of hospitality and facilities. Staff is just so good, they always call you by name, personalise your whole experience. Spa experience was also very good, game drives were informative and we saw plenty of game including 4 out of big fives. It felt we were living in a movie. Just book it, it's worth it!

Birches Cottage & the Willows Garden Room is situated on a gravel road, 5 km from the vilage of Underberg. The estate offers nature trails, riverside pools, picnic spots, decks and viewing areas. It’s amazing views and proximity to the river, as well as how comfortable everything was.

Located 27 km from Ladysmith, Cheetah Ridge Lodge is situated within the Big 5 Nambiti Private Game Reserve, which boasts the Big 5 with a variety of other species and amazing birdlife. beautiful rooms and the staff went above & beyond throughout our stay.
