Could walk everywhere in Port McNeill from motel. Great location and quiet despite being on a fairly busy road. Shops and restaurants were close by.

We stayed here 2 nights either side of a kayaking trip and it was exactly what we needed. The staff were really welcoming and helpful. The shower had plenty of hot water. The room was very comfortable and had good coffee for the morning. Plenty of parking. There is even a laundry room which was so helpful after returning from a week of camping. I’m quite surprised by the low review score as it was a lovely stay, it’s by no means luxury but met our needs perfectly.

We like the Dalewood Inn as it is very quiet and near all the amenities as well as the ferry to Alert Bay and Sointula. Lots of free parking. Friendly staff. Our room was clean. We used the on-site shared kitchen.

The motel is a short walk from the waterfront, which was ideal for our boat trip. We had a queen room in the main building - it was reasonably furnished and clean, plus we couldn’t hear any neighbours. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately they don’t do breakfast - staffing issues like so many places - but you do have a coffee maker, fridge and microwave so no real issue. There is a good supermarket next door. We were happy with our stay.
