Lijiang Gemmer Hotel ligt op 2 minuten lopen van de Nanmen-brug en biedt kamers met airconditioning in het oude centrum van Lijiang. Super lokatie. In het centrum. Alles lekker dichtbij. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaresse. Ik was als enige europeaan samen met mijn chinese familie. De eigenaresse verzorgde voor mij speciaal een aangepast ontbijt. Kortweg super service. Zeker een aanrader voor iedereen die naar Dali gaat.

Jianshe Inn ligt in het hart van de oude stad Lijiang, op 7 tot 8 minuten lopen van Dashuiche en Square Street, en biedt eenvoudige accommodatie in Japanse stijl. A 10 star rating is an understatement for the hospitality and warmth we received. The location is beautiful, a stunning terrace with an overview of the old town, lots of plants and pretty flowers. We got a room upgrade for free and the room was spacious, well equipped (best equipped room in fact we had in China). You can tell that a lot of love and attention to detail was put into the design of this accomodation. The location is very central yet quiet at night. The highlight of it all was the lovely, generous and genuine owner. She took time to recommend us great restaurants and vegetarian dishes. Checked in on us regularly to make sure we are having a great time. And when I was sick she even brought food and medicine. It felt like home and being taken care of by family. I have never experienced such a hospitality and am very grateful. I highly, highly recommend this place when you're visiting Yunnan. The owner has travelled all over the world and has lots of interesting stories and insights to share, definitely recommend you to have a chat with her over tea.

From the luxurious accommodations to the outstanding service, every aspect of my experience was nothing short of five stars. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kunming.
