Everyone on staff is delightful and goes out of their way to accommodate any requests. We stayed in room #8 in the main lodge. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and an incredible view from our balcony. The sunsets are spectacular every day. The food is outstanding and beautifully presented. We are vegetarian which the chef accommodated with delicious dishes every evening. The desserts are fantastic and the breakfast buffet is plentiful with freshly baked goods, delicious home made yogurts, cheeses, cold buts, fruit etc. The hotel offers a number of fabulous excursions through local operators which we took advantage of. They include being picked up and dropped off at the hotel which makes it all very convenient. The operators are paid directly in cash and there are several ATM’s in town so that wasn’t a problem. There is also great snorkeling right in front of the hotel. Kayaks are available to go to the Motu (15-20min.) which was a lot of fun. Car rental is also available right on site and charged directly to your room. Cars have a manual transmission and all in great shape. We rented one to drive around the island which was fun. Overall our stay at Hotel Raiatea Lodge exceeded our expectations and we will definitely return.

Tena korua Marie raua ko Ronnie Everything Marie is exceptional she keeps the place running smoothly and clean and tidy. Staff are so friendly and helpful, the cooked meals are huge enough for two meals. Swimming and location beautiful, accomodation spectacular views and Marie so insightful placed me at end bungalow. Ronnie organized the tours who picked me up at pontoon literally around the corner. The most memorable was taputapuatea Marae highlight and Faaroa river ride Havana tours uplifting nga taonga tuku iho o nga tupuna. Also Ta'aha tour Vanilla, Pearl and Rum farm and bonus snorkeling coral reef mama also whipped up a kete and potae for us to take home from coconut leaves. Incredible location with a deck right by the water’s edge. Perfect for sunrises. We ate at home every night so the kitchen is well equipped. The owner Johnny is very contactable, offers great local advice, does tours of the island (which we did and enjoyed) and he’s just a really nice guy. Would deffo stay here again.

The hotel is situated high up on a mountain side. The view of the expanse of the blue ocean was magnificent. The serenity of the place helped to distress and then to soak in the beauty that was all around us. The valley on the side of our bungalow was exceptionally beautiful, I love listening to the chirping of the thousands of birds in the trees. Sandrine and Laurent are wonderful people and do their best to help out their clients and make their stay as memorable as possible. Laurent was a jewel as he washed my rental car before I left Fare Mahi Mahi. What a sweetie!!! Thank you so much, Laurent!!! I asked for extra pillows as I need to sleep with a lot of support for my back, needless to say, I slept extremely well, thank you Sandrine!!!

This peaceful retreat boasts a large outdoor swimming pool with stunning sea views. Villa U'upa is situated just 10 minutes' from the heart of Uturoa and the ferry terminal. Guests enjoy free WiFi. Host Christine and Gilles were brilliant.🌺 Thank you both for your generosity and sharing you beautiful home with us. Christine was extremely helpful organizing our transfer from airport, rental transport, and the must do activities while in Raiatea. We loved our stay. Hugely appreciated. Just 80 metres from the Lagoon access to Sea view, La maison Du Voyage offers a relaxed tropical haven with free snorkelling equipment. We loved everything about our experience and stay with Isabella and Edward. They are wonderful hosts and their property is clean and in a fabulous location. You will need a car to travel to them. You should hire a car anyway to see the entire island, its gorgeous. We enjoyed conversing with the other guests during our stay and the breakfast of bread and fresh fruit was delightful. We highly recommend staying at La Maison Du Voyage and look forward to going back!
