Maitai Rangiroa is located between the villages of Avatoru and Tiputa, on one of the largest lagoons in the Southern Hemisphere. Excellent hotel with an equally excellent restaurant on-site. I also spent a lot of times at my friends hotel, the Kia Ora, and we both agreed that the Maitai was nicer at half the price.

Located in Avatoru, Te Mao has a garden, terrace, water sports facilities, and free WiFi. I like the sea view, the quiet time to relax and snorkle. The possibilities to rent a bike and the owner being so nice driving me around to grocery store and airport.

Featuring garden views, Chez Taia et Véro in Tiputa offers accommodations with free use of kayaks and bikes, barbecue facilities and a garden. Complimentary WiFi is provided. We had a really good time at Taia and Véros place. Even though the room is quite small when all beds are occupied we really liked the terrasse and kitchen areas. For us it was really nice with the washing machine, it needed a gently touch and worked fine. It was a bit away from the small town, so it was amazing we had bicycles available to use for all family - it made it easy to get around. The small beach close by is fine for snorkeling and easy accesible for swimmers. We would definately recommend people to stay with Taia and Véro if the need a pricefriendly stay in Rangiroa :-)

Featuring a terrace, Poe Guesthouse provides accommodations in Avatoru. This guest house features free private parking, free shuttle service, and free Wifi. We loved the location, the privacy of the bungalow, the outdoor patio, there was an option to cook and the shared spaces were also nice. Plus we loved our host Hinano, she picked us up at the airport, showed us around town, she made us breakfast every morning with care, she attended to our every need, really went out of her way to help us on occasions! We are very grateful for having the opportunity to stay here.

This apartment offers free bikes as well as a garden. The accommodation features free Wifi throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a restaurant. We expected our stay in Tiputa to be slightly off the beaten path - and it was, for the best of it! The property is at the "remote" end of the village, on the ocean shore - enjoy the noise of breakers during the night! First floor, nice view. No light pollution - enjoy the view of the Milky Way at night. Beyond the beauty of Rangiroa (expected), we were warmly welcome by the owner's family, who did everything to make us feel at home. Bread, butter, jam were offered for breakfast, and the "restaurant" they recommended was... the neighbor's yard, with 4 tables and a "beware of the dog" sign on the porch. The dog is nice and well-behaved, the cook very friendly and focused on healthy local dishes with fresh (garden-plucked) ingredients, which were outstanding (and more than decently priced)! Thank you for everything, this was a highlight of our vacation in Tahiti.

Featuring a garden, Rangiroa Cottage provides accommodations in Avatoru. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. This place is beautiful, very comfortable and extremely well located. I was in both of the high-end hotels on Rangiroa during my stay, and I felt that Rangiroa Cottage was just as nice. If you prefer the independence of staying in a home, then this is a far superior option. On top of that, it is much cheaper.

Rangi Pearl Lodge in Avatoru provides accommodations with free bikes, a garden, and barbecue facilities. This vacation home provides free private parking, free shuttle service, and free Wifi. Fantastic property, very new and clean. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s such a small island so everything is close. I highly recommended the pizza just down the road or fish and chips and chez rua! Airport pickup is an absolute dream.

Moana Breeze Eco Lodge in Tiputa provides accommodations with free bikes, a bar, and barbecue facilities. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking, and free Wifi. We loved our stay at Moana Eco Breeze. The apartment in a typical Polynesian style house was nicely decorated, had a good fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and nice terrace overlooking the garden to relax on. The excellent internet in such a remote location was a nice surprise and we enjoyed going around the small island on the free bicycles. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. We had dinner at the property one night and the food was excellent. We would happily stay again and highly recommend this place!
