Hätte nicht gedacht, dass es so schöne Strände in Oregon gibt - eine super Ecke auch für überzeugte Europäer wie mich zum Urlaub machen! Das nächste Mal werde ich sicherlich meine Zeit in Seaside verbringen - Cannon Beach ist zwar von der Szenerie her sehr beeindruckend, aber als entspannter Urlaubsort ist Seaside wohl die bessere Wahl.

Florence is a nice little town directly on the Oregon coast. To the north you can see amazing wildlife in tidepools, flying over your head, laying arond on th shore or swimming in the ocean. To the south you are in the world of the oregon dunes with finest sand and a lot of beach to walk along watching wildlife or getting wild by racing down one of the dunes. Spectacular landscape.

Der Bereich Downtown und Pearl ist sehr sehenswert; die vielen Foodtrucks sollte man unbedingt ausprobieren; bei gutem Wetter empfiehlt sich der Washington Park, dort gibt es für Kinder auch den Oregon Zoo und das Forestry Discovery Museum. Mit dem MIetwagen lohnen sich Ausflüge in Richtung Pazifik (Port of Garibaldi, Canon Beach) und entlang des "Historical Columbia River Highway" mit wunderschönen Aussichtspunkten auf den Columbia River und die Wasserfälle

Baker City ist sehr überschaubar.
Baker City ist sehr überschaubar. Wir waren nur auf der Main-Street zum Schaufensterbummel und in einem sehr teuren Cafe. In der Stadt war saisonal sehr wenig los und um 5:00 nachmittags war es schon fast eine Geisterstadt. Unbedingt das Oregon-Trail-Interpretive-Center besuchen.

Interessant Metropole in Zentral Oregon. Komme seit 32 Jahre hier her. Der Ort hat sich in dieser Zeit von 15tsd auf ca 90tsd Einwohner vergrößert. Vom Skifahren, Skilanglauf bis zum Motorradfahren sind hier auch alle erdenklichen Sportarten möglich. Schöne Waldwege und eine intakte Natur bieten einen guten Rahmen. Der Ort bietet Schopping und Restaurants für jeden Geldbeutel und verzichtet gänzlich auf zusätzliche Sales Tax. Das Wetter ist oft sonnig und eher auf der trockenen Seite. Sehr geringe Luftfeuchtigkeit

Das Haus ist top modern ausgestattet (Klimaanlage, Küche, Waschküche, TV etc.), sehr schön eingerichtet und die Betten sind super bequem. Unsere Gastgeberin war sehr hilfsbereit und entgegenkommend. Wir würden länger bleiben, wenn wir könnten.

Top Lage in Seaside. Freundliches Personal und ein tolles Zimmer mit Ocean-View. Eine Steigerung von 1000% nach der Enttäuschung in Seattle. Gutes Frühstück und grosses Zimmer. Vom Bett aus konnte man auf den Ozean schauen. Direkt am schönen Strand und herrlichen Meer. Wir hoffen das wir nochmals hinkommen.

Great oceanfront location. Clean & comfortable rooms. The staff was great & Friendly. Our Concierge 'Shane" was very pleasant and helpful. He gave clear directions to our room, parking instructions & made severl great recommendations for dining in the area.

Tolles Hotel, sehr zentral und direkt am Strand wir hatten ein kleines Zimmer mit king size Bett was völlig ausreichend war, die Aussicht ist natürlich ganz toll es gibt Treppen runter zum Strand. Die Möglichkeit Feuerholz an der Rezeption zu kaufen, Schoko Cookies an der Rezeption

2nd time staying at Sea Gypsy. Enjoyed this trip as much as the 1st. Will definately be back. Condo was perfect. Cute little kitchen, right on the beach, and you can NOT beat the ocean views.

Die Lage ist top. Vom Balkon überblickt man den Strand und das Meer. Die Zimmer sind schon etwas angejahrt, aber sauber. Betten bequem. Netterweise waren zwei Flaschen Wasser und zwei Dosen Kaltgetränke kostenlos im Kühlschrank. Das im Hotel untergebrachte Café hat sehr leckere Kuchen und Heißgetränke.
