Poseidon is the perfect place to rest and enjoy the seaside and the beach. Although Makaskar is a busy beach town, we felt away from the noise and crowd in our apartment. The reception and the resort staff are courteous, welcoming and helpful. They want to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We stayed in an apartment instead of a bungalow, which was perfect for us being a couple. Large bed, bathroom, spacious front terrace with table and chairs and a sunbed. Perfect to have meals alfresco. Towels are changed every four days and equipped little kitchen if you like to stay in and make your own meals. Great large private parking. We felt at home very quickly!

First of all - the hotel itself. It's an old building, but has been renovated in 2016 (or 2017), so everything you see looks and feels new. Neutral, yet stylish interiors, both around common areas and the rooms. Second - the staff and level of service. We asked for an iron and an ironing board, expecting it to arrive the following morning; instead it was brought to the room within 10 minutes. We could not figure out how to turn the aircon on (I had not realized you need to shut the balcony door for it to power on), and the maintenance guy turned up in 5 minutes. The food is amazing, wine and beer are free during dinner. The beach is lovely, apart from an annoying niggle (see below). All-in, by far the best hotel experience I have had.
