We had an amazing stay at the Huan Resort! If you are in North Thailand and the Chiang Mai area, you should definitely also include a visit to Chiang Dao. This is a very calm, charming, non-touristy town with lots to see around such as a sticky waterfall, rice terraces, beautiful mountain views, jungles, hot springs, temples, and a huge cave system. We had a really wonderful few days there and got to see a lot of this rural mountain part of Thailand. If you are visiting Chaing Dao, I wholeheartedly recommend staying at this resort. It is super quiet and relaxing but has everything you need: AC, hot water, refrigerator, nearby places to eat, and even a pool which was a huge bonus for us. Everything was super clean and in excellent shape. But definitely, the best thing was Ket, the owner. Ket made every effort for us to have a good stay. We do not use mopeds and were a bit worried that this would make it hard for us to see the area. However, Ket arranged bicycles for us and even gave us a lift with them to spare us an uphill journey. She arranged a taxi tour for us to see the hot springs, waterfall, and a beautiful viewpoint of the mountains which were too far to reach by cycling. Ket, thank you for your generosity and hospitality! The rooms are super spacious and light with nice big beds and lovely patios for relaxing or working a bit. The grounds are really nice and the view is breathtaking! The bungalow was spotless and we have fresh towels and cold water every day. It's super close to the cave, the hot springs and the park, but also fairly close to the town. If you have a bike or motorbike, it should all be quite easy. More than anything, the family running the place are absolutely lovely! They offered us a ride to the night market on the first day as we arrived late and didn't have bikes. We also got a ride to the bus stop on our last day :)

Wonderful family atmosphere, everybody was so nice. The location is peaceful, surrounded by rice fields with a backdrop of mountains. Sun sets behind the mountain and offers some lovely photo opportunities. I had no reason to leave the property as I was prepared a lovely evening meal, and in the morning a hearty rice congee with coffee. The room was clean and everything I needed for one night. The morning start early and the whole village seem to be busy in the fields as you sip your coffee. Even with my two minus points it was still a great value experience I would recommend

This is a beautiful resort with exceptional views. The stream running right through the middle adds a great element. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The restaurant was great. I highly recommend!

Location is quiet and beautiful, but not secluded. We witnessed a nagnificent sunrise and got one of my favourite photos of the entire journey in North Thailand. Owners are super-nice and welcomed us with a delicious and perfumed drink.
