The resort far exceeded my expectations! It was absolutely the most beautiful place I've ever stayed and unfortunately we could only stay one night because of availability. We would gladly have extended our stay. We had a river side room with private patio, and there were fish and ducks swimming right outside. The room was very large and private and I loved the Nepresso coffee maker! The grounds were immaculately groomed and luscious with vegetation and flowers. We enjoyed the pool and also kayaking on the river. Don't pass it up if you have the chance to stay!
San Ignacio

Such a nice place to visit! It’s a sustainable Hotel with a high standard! The family who runs it, is so friendly and nice!
Best pancakes allover Belize and best spot to see red-eyed tree frog!
The property has its own jungle walk, a yoga room, a garden with flowers and hummingbirds, and a pond…
We stayed in a room with toilets outside and with a shared kitchen and dining. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. For the price one of the best places in Belize!
You’re in the jungle, don’t forget bug spray ;)

We loved it and we will be back. Some simple stores and a bakery are 7min walk from the place. Awesome location for all the local tours! The staff there were like family! Cozy place! A must stay! Cool Shade
Gumbo Limbo Jungle Resort has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Cool Shade. Offering a bar, the property is located within 12 km of Barton Creek Cave. The air-conditioned rooms provide a garden view and come with a wardrobe and free WiFi. We loved the serenity, the personal touches, warm welcomes and the ease of access from town (well, easy up till the driveway; but that’s just part of the adventure!) Jay and Christine were wonderful hosts! Not only did they make us feel like part of the family, they were able to give us wonderful suggestions of things to do, help us (and other guests) arrange incredible last minute tours and also made us delicious late night drinks and desserts. The property was beautifully maintained and you could feel the love that this family has put into it. Not only would we return to Gumbo Limbo without hesitation, we would also recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Good Living Camp
Jaguar Creek offers accommodation in Caves Branch. The resort has a year-round creek with available tubing as weather permits, barbecue and sun terrace, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. Perfect location. Just remember you’re in the jungle, so there will be sounds at night. We spent 3 nights in the most remote cabin, we were the only ones in the hotel, so it was just us in the nature. Plenty of hummingbirds flowing around the hibiscus, we saw a group of wild little pigs one morning just under our window, lots of fireflies every evening at dusk on our way to the restaurant… quite magical. The vegetation is luscious, with lots of flowers and trees. There’s everything you need in the cabins, from water dispensers to mosquito sprays (we even had a hammock in our cabin!). The mosquito / bug isolation of the cabin is pretty thorough, but the bed mosquito net offers extra protection. The cabins are very spacious. There was a few fans. Shower worked fine. We enjoyed tubing / bathing in the river along the estate. With the free bikes provided you can ride to the chocolate farm grab an iced coffee or cycle to the blue hole, which are very nearby. The hotel also offers a variety of tours / activity. We did the nearby cave tour. The food was delicious. It’s a set menu but there’s hasn’t been one meal prepared by the cook we didn’t like / finish. The staff was so helpful and kind. Lots of little attentions, like flower petals in our room at arrival or for our last diner… and anything to make our stay more enjoyable. And after speaking to the staff, we found out that it’s a non profit place, and they’re actually helping local students. All in all, it was an amazingly relaxing stay, and it felt even better knowing you’re helping the local community by staying there.
San Ignacio
This family-run lodge offers a health spa, an eco-friendly swimming pool and unique accommodation with private verandas and jungle views. It is set next to the Macal River, in a private rainforest reserve. The Lodge at Chaa Creek was spectacular and a perfect place to stay in the rainforest of Belize. The staff were SO helpful from the moment I booked the trip (via lots of email communication to plan outings, etc) and through our entire stay. The setting there is beautiful and the food at the restaurant was fantastic. We would highly recommend staying here on all fronts!

The rooms are great - fantastic view from the veranda, comfy bed and fans provided. The resort is walking distance to Big Rock falls and there's a little tram to the one at the bottom of the resort.
Amazingly impressed with this resort! Perfect location. It was nice to be away from it all- tucked back in the trees. True jungle type feel! The cleanliness, the staff, and the grounds were stunning. It was nice to stay somewhere where the staff treated us like normal people. Coming from the states, often time when we visit Central American countries there’s a definite.. dislike we feel from staff members. Not here- these guys welcomed us into their country and were excited we travelled far to enjoy their country. Super recommended!!
The location of the resort was tranquil. Our toddler enjoyed walking the short paths through the property. The grounds are gorgeous. Just a short drive into San Ignacio or to the Xunantunich Mayan Ruins.
Great personable staff that ensures your comfort at every opportunity. The location still feels close to the downtown area without actually being caught up in the hustle and bustle. Overall this is a great value. If you want an all-inclusive resort go find something else that’ll cost 7 times as much, but if you want a good, clean, and safe place to crash after a long day of touring this is your place.
There was really nothing that we liked. It was a big disappointment. The price is outrageous for the quality of the resort and service.
Staff members were friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable, resort was amazingly beautiful.
Spacious “house”. Liked having kitchen. Resort was quiet. Pool was clean. Grounds are beautiful. Staff friendly and always answered questions, gave good recommendations.
Very nice resort with beautiful trees
I love where the resort was located out of the city. It was really nice and quiet. They had a nice size pool that catered to everyone and karaoke on Saturday ❤️❤️. I recommend this resort it’s really affordable.I will be going again real soon. The staff is really nice and friendly, always a smile on their faces ❤️❤️.
The property is stunning, nestled between the botanical gardens and the Macal River. The landscaping is gorgeous and the facilities were great. I stayed for 3 days and did not leave the resort. The all inclusive package makes it easy, the food was superb. Staff was wonderful. Laid back atmosphere yet felt high class. Massages were great. Rooms 1-3 will have wifi as they’re next to reception building. The new pool is amazing.
