The last resort should be your first port of call at Karamea! Excellent value. Comfy, clean and spacious with wonderfully friendly staff. The bar and pool room are warm and welcoming and the meals in the restaurant are delicious! Fabulous value for money. We will definitely stay here anytime we come back to karamea.

Hotel is in an amazing location, which was why we chose it. We only stayed two nights but managed to do everything we wanted to in the area. The main one being the Franz Josef heli hike. Hotel restaurant was very good and the all inclusive dinner & breakfast (which I hadn't realised at the time of booking) was a bonus.

Lovely large unit with a luxury spa bath and very modern decor so close to central Reefton 😀 very friendly owners would stay there again.

Location good. Expected more luxury but very plain. Not good value.

Karamea is an extraordinary, isolated, and wild destination. The resort style is super relaxed, and home- crafts flourish. Our unit was filled with thoughtful up-cycled furniture. Everything you need was provided. The restaurant served great home-styled food.

Great resort, position, clean. I got the 4 bed room just for myself, wich made it even better 🙂

Helpful and friendly man at reception gave us the information we needed regarding walks and seeing both glaciers . Right in middle of resort with everything nearby.

What a gem! Beautiful green jungle-like setting, spacious, luxury apartment with the best beds in New Zealand. Easy walk to stores and restaurants.

Rainforest retreat was fabulous! The beds were extremely comfortable, lovely bathroom, kitchen and lounge. We thoroughly enjoyed the luxury of the jacuzzi in the treetops. Everything was very special. We also enjoyed the Monsoon restaurant for dinner and breakfast.
