Offering affordable Japanese-style accommodations, Mimatsuso Ryokan is a 5-minute drive on the free shuttle from JR Asahikawa Train Station. Traditional souvenirs such as origami and bookmarks are offered to guests for free. Free Wi-Fi is available.

It is close the train station. The room is big and cozy. The owner is friendly and nice. In the morning of check out day I saw a small note on the wall that guest can try kimono for free in the everning. I stayed there for 3 nights but i overlooked that note. I missed a chance to try kimono. It was rain when I checked out. So the owner suggested driving me to the train station. I felt so warm in a rainy day. I also received a souvenir gift from the hostel. I love it so much.

Located just 5 km from Kaguraoka Park, Takasago Onsen offers accommodation in Asahikawa with access to a spa and wellness centre, an open-air bath, as well as a lift. Providing free private parking, the 3-star ryokan is 3.8 km from Ayako Miura Literature Museum. The accommodation provides a sauna, hot spring bath, family-friendly restaurant and free WiFi.

The sauna and bath are great. The futon is great. The breakfast starts at 7am but I check-out early at 630am because the bus from Takasagodai-8-chome departs at 7.11am. They allow early breakfast anyway. The breakfast was delicious. The staff did not understand English but very quick thinking to use Google translate - no major issue.

I had such an amazing stay at Mimatsuso Ryokan! The ryokan was spotless and well located, and it was so nice to stay in a traditional Japanese house, with a traditional bathroom (with a bath to relax in), a yukata to put on after showering, and a delicious Japanese breakfast! (There are also signs in the ryokan saying that you can try on a kimono for free). The staff were extremely welcoming and made me feel at home. I’m sad I was only here one night but I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in Asahikawa!

The ryokan is located near the station and from the airport it took us an hour. There was snow everywhere in town, amazing! The owners were wonderful people, so welcoming, friendly, hospitable and sweet. They even offered to bring us to the station by car, as there was too much snow outside. Very nice people :) The room was very spacious and cozy, and clean. The breakfast was a traditional japanese one, very tasty! Thank you so much :)

Overall, it was a good stay, the rooms are decent size and the location is just next to the station, which is very convenient. The facilities are also great, with an easy to access onsen.

Location was great, just opposite train station and mall. Breakfast was great. This seems to be a business hotel, so the female onsen is usually empty. So the coin laundry machines in the female onsen is usually available. Rooms were a good size. Parking was efficient. Staff at car park were very helpful. I thought I might have dropped my glove and was checking with the staff, who patiently helped. As I can't speak Japanese, she took out a translator and used it to resolve the issue.

The location of the hotel was fantastic being a short walk from the train station and airport/ snow shuttle bus service. The shopping centre has everything you need and again was central to the hotel and rail location. I could not fault any aspect of our stay. The spa/ onsen area was beautiful and the view at night over looking the skating rink was bautiful.
