This was the perfect place to enjoy the traditional ryokan experience in an upscale and comfortable setting. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. They worked through the language barrier to update our stay when our trip changed and explain the bus schedule to us. Facilites were luxurious and the dinner was incredible! I wish we could have stayed for more than 1 night in order to fully enjoy the property and surrounding area but 100% recommend to book. I will go out of my way to return my next time in Hokkaido!

The room - including the incredible view and en suite onsen - was absolutely incredible and perfect for me and my teenage daughters. But the food… for me, that was the highlight. The breakfast and dinner included in our stay was out of this world and a beautiful way to experience Hokkaido — our first time there. The service was fantastic, start to finish — we always felt welcome and cared for. I read about this hotel in The NY Times, and it delivered, 100 percent. Highly recommend, 10/10!

Onsen facility is good. Free shuttle bus must be booked 2-3 months a head as always fully booked. Easy to take public bus (790Y) from JR Sapporo but the bus is always full. Stood in the bus for 90 minutes. Half way from Sapporo is Fu Snow resort, can get down for a half day ski on your way back to Sapporo. Connected to sister hotel, female sharing sister hotel onsen.

It was a little bit old, but the room was warm, large, and had an excellent view. The hotel staff will make the futon beds for you and the futon beds are very comfortable here. The onsen facilities are nice, as well as the outdoor foot bath. Theres also plenty to do here. I regret not bringing my swimmers, because they have a pool here. The private onsen in the bathroom was absolutely divine, not to mention the property also has indoor and outdoor onsens attached (both great). The futons were like sleeping on clouds and we had one of the best night's sleep of our lives. The dinner at the restaurant was a delicious and wonderful experience. The guest lounge on the ground floor was also a great place to relax and refresh. I wish I had stayed more than one night.
