Everything is amazing. It is expensive, but you get what you pay. I recommend staying for at least 2 nights. I stayed for only one night, and I think I could have enjoyed more (like the gardens and the free rental bike service) if I had more time. Having said that,I thoroughly enjoyed my bedroom, the lounge, restaurant, the baths. The free all you can eat ice cream in the lounge was also a positive surprise.

The hosts were an extremely nice couple, who where very helpful and it seemed they really enjoyed getting to know their guests. It was a heartwearming experience. It is the perfect place to experience a traditional Japanese hotel. While the equipment in the rooms was simplistic it was very clean and authentic. Considering the low price this was a great deal. This was one of the best accomodations on our Japan trip.

What was not to like? Clean, friendly staff, amazing food. The view from our room was gorgeous. There is a shuttle bus to help you getting to the stations.
