Lovely view across the town. Quiet and away from the bustle. Room was very spacious. Enjoyed the private Onsen. Staff were excellent. Appreciated the service of picking up our luggage from the coin lockers at the ferry port.

Shinko san’s hospitality was exceptional. From the moment we entered Shinko warmly welcomed us and quickly settled us into our rooms. We were amazed by the sumptuous meal that catered to all diets. A tip for future travellers- do not snack before your dinner. The servings and variety were incredibly generous and delicious. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the views across the water were beautiful. Miyajima is beautiful to visit and staying overnight was extra special. Definitely our favourite experience in Japan.

Great place to stay! They serve a traditional Japanese breakfast. They also do dinner but advance reservation is required. I don’t recall seeing that as an option when booking so I assume you call ahead if you are wanting dinner. Dining options are limited in the evening on the island.

The personnel was really kind and helpful, giving tips for where to go in the island and nice restaurants. The ryokan has a two onsens you can book for free for one hour, one of them with a nice view to a small garden, really nice. There is a kitchen where you can cook yourself which is big and a nice common area. We could not enjoy the garden as we stayed only one night. I would stay here again. Good value for the money spent.

The Ryokan is a small walk outside of the main town meaning the area was quiet and not overrun with tourists. A free shuttle to and from the ferry terminal is offered to help with transport.

The room was very big, the futon very comfortable, and they provide you a very nice kimono! The room was very warm. The lady speaks a decent English. She offers the onsen upon reservation in the morning, and it's very nice. Third floor: common room with view in the entire bay and the pagoda! They also offered us a lift to the pier, since it was raining heavily!
