The service was superb! We arrived a little too early for checkin and were allowed to leave our backpacks. When we returned, the host had carried our backpacks upstairs! The host was extremely kind to us in every way possible. Our room was small but great. The futon slept really well, and the kotatsu was super cosy.

The room was well prepared and was clean, the family who owns the house is really nice, the breakfast was really good (every morning you get something different). There is a train station and subway station a few minutes walk away and there are also some stores a few minutes walk away. Overall, I had a good time staying here as a solo traveler :)

Air-conditioned Japanese rooms with free WiFi internet, a tatami-mat floor and yukata robes are on offer at Hotel Kuramoto, 600 metres from Nipponbashi Subway Station. It has a hot public bath and offers Japanese meals for an extra fee.

The room and the whole hotel was very authentic and traditional. The staff was polite and friendly. The room was clean. We also liked onsen, simple but pleasant. The location near Dontonbori and Shinbashi so a lot of places to eat and hang out all day and night out.

Owners are incredibly kind, location is absolutely perfect, room was spotless, cosy, and tidy. Having an onsen on site is such a big plus, especially when you arrive tired from exploring the city. Breakfast was also good. We actually tried to book another night because the place is so amazing, but unfortunately it was already gone.

Really special homely and welcoming ryokan, and so beautiful! Made my trip so special staying here and it was so lovely to make new friends here. Loveliest rooms (I stayed in 2 rooms because of how I booked it), cute little bar where I had such a delicious coffee in the morning, beautiful art on the walls and the most wonderful people working and living there.

The hot spring onsen was a bonus. We needed an interconnecting room. The hotel is right outside a metro entrance. Relatively easy to get Osaka Castle, Aquarium and Dotonbori.

Having stayed in some very small hotel rooms, with barely space to move around the room, the tatami room was a lovely space which meant we could sit down and have breakfast or a snack around the table, and the kids found the futon beds really comfy. The hotel is in a fairly quiet part of the city but with cafes and a convenience store nearby, it as well as subway stations making it easy to get around.

Of course the onsen, but also the breakfast room, which looked very friendly and open. The breakfast itself was very good as well, especially nice as it was a traditional breakfast - as well as traditionally served. The room was nice, but of course traditionally small as a Japanese room with futons. We got exactly what we expected as a "typical Japan experience"

We wanted to experience a ryokan so booked this place. It wasn't quite what we had imagined since it's a huge place. The rooms are very large and had futons that were laid out at night. We opted for the traditional breakfast in the morning, which was fine though not extraordinary. The location is good, on the canal just across the street from a lively area with tons of restaurants and shops.

Absolutely lovely stay in an authentic ryokan. The welcome treats, yukata (bathrobe), and bath slippers provided were sweet, homey touches. The in-house onsen was a great way to end a long day and unwind.

Excellent location, had view over Dotonburi River which was stunning at night! Very comfy futons, large room for two people, tea and yukata nightwear provided, good sized bathroom, working AC, fridge for keeping drinks/food cool, lifts worked well, everything very clean and staff friendly! Not a bad thing to say, the perfect stay in a ryokan style room and at an excellent price!
