From the beginning till the end, it was an amazing experience ! The host and his family are wonderful people. We slept in a house that has been standing for over 200 years, bathing in history and quietness. We've been served exquisite dishes by the host, whose cooking skills are tremendous. We strongly recommend this ryokan for a unique experience.

Situated in a tranquil area in Gifu Region, a 52-minute drive away from JR Takayama Station, Mozumo boasts a hot-spring bath and rooms decorated with modern Japanese interior. Lovely all the way through, the dinner set was the highlight and the staff extreme helpfull. Excelent for those who want a first experience with a Ryokan.

Yatsusankan menawarkan akomodasi bergaya tradisional Jepang dengan pemandian umum yang luas, dan berjarak 6 menit jalan kaki dari Stasiun Kereta JR Hidafurukawa. This ryokan was gorgeous and a place you can really experience Japanese "omotenashi", the service was exceptional. We pulled up in our car to be greeted by someone to welcome us, take our bags, and park the car. We were led into a beautiful waiting room to fill out our paperwork and were given fresh matcha and sweets. Then we were given a lovely tour and found our bags waiting for us in the room, which was massive and beautifully decorated. The onsen was lovely and the relaxation room had free massage chairs to enjoy. The whole ryokan is traditionally decorated and so fun to explore as it seemed there were new rooms and hallways everywhere. The breakfast, both Japanese and western were also delicious. I highly recommend this Ryokan for their stellar service and relaxing atmosphere.

The place itself is a beautiful and well-maintained traditional home. The family hosting us were gracious, friendly, helpful and kind. Always smiling. We enjoyed two delicious included meals per day: Breakfast and dinner. The traditional meals were more like gourmet feasts featuring interesting local foods. The many little dishes were intricately prepared with stunning presentation. We also really enjoyed the experience of sleeping in a traditional room with a tatami mat floor. Very cosy! We'll be dreaming of our stay here for years to come and hope to visit again one day.
