All their staff were very warm, friendly and super helpful. Love the Spring onsen plus a separate spring swimming pool in the villa. Amazing views!!

Bihadanoyu Koshikano Onsen har ett perfekt läge i området Hinatayama Onsen i Kirishima, 47 km från Kagoshima Chuo station, 48 km från Kagoshima station och 15 km från Kirishima Jingu Shrine. Very authentic Japanese onsen hotel with amazingly kind staff, brilliant food in their restaurant and private onsen!! It is located in a beautiful space surrounded by the mountains. I wish I stayed longer, it was truly an amazing experience and so relaxing.

Hanon～波音～ ligger i Tatsugo, 13 minuters promenad från Kurasaki strand, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en terrass och en bar. It’s a family owned guest house with mother, father and two kids born 2020 and 2023. The father speaks English and that is friendly and eager to help. The common area is the same as the family’s private space. As a family you have access to a big bath tub big enough for four people. The house is made out of mainly wood, which is spacious and cozy. They created small areas for kids to play. Example a small ropeway. The father likes spear fishing. Relaxed atmosphere and helpful family made the trip to Amami really pleasant. Recommended.

Kirishima miyama hotel ligger i Kirishima, 8,9 km från Kirishima Jingu Shrine, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. The room is a basic tatami room with futon. What makes this place stand out to me are the numerous bath houses…there are 3 outdoor baths as well as an indoor bath. All can be accessed privately with a key system which makes it very relaxing. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very kind and polite.

Nakahara Bessou ligger 5 minuters promenad från spårvagnshållplatsen Tenmonkandori och erbjuder boende i japansk och västerländsk stil med platt-TV och uppfriskande offentliga varma källor. The staff are very friendly and make great efforts to help. The hotel is traditional with kind of unhurried pace and subtle respect to guests. Location is best especially for visitors on short visits to Kagoshima.

Ryokan Kawakyu ligger 8 minuters bilresa från tågstationen JR Ibusuki. Här erbjuds rum i japansk stil med utsikt över floden Nivanda, grönt te och traditionella futonsängar. the staff was so welcoming and warm with us. it’s a quiet place.
