Onsen Guest House Tsutaya

Boasting an open-air bath and views of mountain, Onsen Guest House Tsutaya is a recently renovated ryokan situated in Hakone, 6.5 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and private parking is available on site. The accommodation features a lift, a shared kitchen and luggage storage for guests. This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. So affordable and the beds in the dorm feels super big. It’s quiet and a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff were absolutely amazing and helped me get around, reserve dinner at restaurants and so on. Highly recommend! The Hakone free pass bus stops right outside. The onsen is also very nice. There’s also a 7/11 3 mins away which came in handy. Also the kitchen has so many supplies! So many different teas. Best place to relax after busy Tokyo

The nearest airport is Oshima Airport, 87 km from the ryokan. I got lucky with the room because I had a vending machine with beer right next to my door. The location is good, not far from bus/train stations, but it might be a bit inconvenient if you have suitcases since the road from the stations is quite busy and doesn’t have pedestrian area. For me it wasn’t an issue since I had only a backpack. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were super friendly. Amazing outdoor onsen. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.
