The location was perfect right next to Unzen Jigoku and waking up to the view outside our hotel room was peaceful and prayerful. The private onsen in the room was heavenly and we took advantage of it sometimes multiple times a day. The meals (breakfast and dinner courses) were delicious and gave us a wide range of Japanese dishes. It was also nice to be able to walk down in our Japanese PJ's to relaxingly eat and gaze out the window on Unzen Jigoku. The service was very attentive. The rooms were very spacious.

Love the spacious room with beds and tatami, very nice breakfast and lots of choices and view are nice! Staffs will come to set up tatami for u. Relaxing with a nice view from room and enjoy the onsen
The room was great - big space for futons, a separate area for sitting and good access to our own bathroom toilet.. It was very quiet. It was a good walk from the railway station that helped get a feel for Nagasaki. From the ryokan it was easy walking to all the sights
Public Onsen was Tatami floored and was fun experience. I am not a big fun of raw fish, but "Kaisen-don" which raw fish topped bowl rice was so delicious.
Very good, affordable option in Unzen. The facilities are very clean, the room is traditional with futon and yukata, and the bath is nice. The pension does not have outdoor bath but there are many public baths just a few minutes away. The host is a very welcoming old lady, she prepares nice typical Japanese breakfast. Thank you! 😊🙏
Very nice onsen with a beautiful view on the lake. The futons were super comfortable and the chamber was spacious!
Georgious view of Nagasaki. Nice traditional Japanese tatamis and everything. Good onsen also!
Beautiful sea view! All rooms are facing the sea. Lovely Japanese tatami and futon room with huge windows. Very comfortable and chillax. This ranquil fisherman's villege made me feel like time slipped to 90's Ghibli scenes. As a bonus I found a French bakery running by Japanese baker. It was really delicious! Only 25 mins local bus ride from Nagasaki Station. Definitely worth to explore.
Excellent dinner and breakfast buffet, beautifully presented and lots of choices. Beautiful outdoor onsen , lots of choices for Yukata.
the Obama bus terminal is just 3mins walk away, and the ryokan is right next to the sea, you can see sunset just stepping out or enjoy it in your room. the rooms are also very clean. and the room we booked was with a private spring within the room, it was perfect! hot spring, sunset and the ocean.
Limited English spoken by staff, but they make a little go a long way and deserve huge credit for their patience and effort in handling non-Japanese speakers during a busy holiday period. Breakfast and dinner are both good, as are the onsens, and location is central to the hot springs, bus stops to/from Shimabara and Nagasaki, and an easy walk up the hill behind town, which affords panoramic views.
