Nice city, a lot of restaurants and shops, train station, buses, hospital, parks - anything one might need.
95% of beaches are private. You have to pay 35-70€ per 2 bed and umbrella per day. Sand beach, ideal for kids, as the sea is flat first 15m.
Parking is a challenge! So it is better to book a hotel with the parking.

Nice beaches, however be sure to investigate available spots on your favourite beach before arrival. We went to the public beach in the neighbour town which was really nice. The public beaches of Alassio are not as nice and very crowded. Nice atmosphere and many testaurants by the sea.

I would return again. Very friendly and beautiful.
I would return again. Very friendly and beautiful. The new ripple are kind n helpful. The beaches were all over the town and eateries on the water front as well as in the town. Transport around Alassio was free and convenient. I would check if the hotel was on a hill or in the flat ground when I return and I will.

Loved every minute and wished I had stayed longer.
Loved every minute and wished I had stayed longer. A lovely town with lots of charm, shops, parks, playgrounds etc. we got the train/bus to nearby towns and explored the area. There were several supermarkets nearby and a local market on Saturday. Restaurants were along the Lungomare and up as far as the pier. The neighbourhood was family oriented and safe. The Lido pizzeria and restaurant was very good value and lovely food.

Beautiful seaside town. Beautiful beaches and shops.
Beautiful seaside town. Beautiful beaches and shops. Wonderful beachfront hotels. High end but still wonderful for families. You can walk far out in the water and still stand. Water not too cold. More of an affluent beach town.
Very nice beach walk that runs a very long distance. Pretty town. Was once vacation destination of the affluent English who built villas here.
I love Alassio. This is where my parents (from Piemonte) vacationed when they were younger.

Very nice resort.
Very nice resort. Not too crowded though - just golden middle. Shops and bars working till late. There are lots of beaches, but if your facility cannot grant you a bench, better look for placed closer to Zero beach, since this is the only public beach. And question is not about money - there are simply no available benches. You simply cannot get one even if there are plenty of empty benches. One of the guys explained, that they are booked for whole months and nobody can use them even if they stay empty.
I liked Alassio, the location of the hotel, the room with a balcony although small but comfortable, new sanitary equipment, air conditioning in the room, (a bit too noisy) at the bottom of the wall and not under the ceiling, and kind and helpful people working at the reception, Francecca was the best ever! She helped a lot and advised a lot even to choose a cafe for seafood dinner, to go to a guest shower on the departure day, to call a taxi. It's a pity there was no info in the hotel what interesting places to see and visit in Alassio.
This hotel is in a perfect location, overlooking the lovely promenade and beach of Alassio. The staff were very kind and helpful in every way. The hotel is very relaxed and has an exceptionally nice bar and lounge in period style. We had a free upgrade to rooms with a sea view. The air conditioning worked well during a very hot week. Breakfast and dinner were generous and of high quality. I particularly enjoyed the chef’s traditional Italian seafood dishes.
The hotel is new/ newly refurbished, so everything was in great condition.
The staff is exceptionally welcoming, ready to anticipate any request and happy to go above and beyond to help.
Lovely dehor where breakfast was served.
The location was also great, central and close to the beach but quiet.
nice room, nice balcony, nice location .Impeccably clean .The shower room in the basement
to be used after checkout which allows you to spend a day at the beach on departure day and take a shower before driving away. They will even keep your suitcase in a secure place untill departure
Location is good. Near to railway station. It has its own sandy beach with sun loungers and beach towels. The Ligurian Sea was wonderful and clean. Great view from our balcony. A lot of restaurants near by the hotel. Some minutes walking to the Old city. Breakfast was good.
Location is very good. On beach and not far from shops. I like the style of the hotel. It was built in 1921. Most of the staff are nice and helpful.
Decent breakfast. Rooms are clean. Fairly comfortable. My room was cheerful.
Receptionists at front desk are awesome.
Strengths :
- Beach at 300 m from hotel.
- Balcony of the room was good one.
- Fan/Ventilator from the room was a good one.
To be honest-- I do not like in Italy, because people are trying to rob you (this is the italian style).
The only thing that could have enhanced our one night stay at the Diana would have been a room overlooking the Med. A grand hotel indeed this is. Dinner was a culinary experience to be repeated and breakfast choices were excellent.
The location is amazing. Right on the beach and close to the old town of Budello. Very walkable with tons of restaurants around. Hotel breakfast was nice, not great. Friendly and accommodating staff. Private, sandy beach.
First of all, staff is really kind, from beach boy to reception to restaurant to housekeeping. They are kind people and they treat you kindly. Location is ideal top notch if you fancy beachfront.
