Maria was lovely - so welcoming and gave us advice on a dog friendly restaurant.
We could bring our dog, although not allowed in any areas other than the room. The room was clean and there is secure underground parking.
Breakfast was OK for the price.

The city is very clean and tidy, with lots of very nice places to eat.
The castle is very well preserved, with a Military museum in one of the towers.
One of the reasons we drove to Bragança was to see the Graça Morais art exhibition - she is one of Portugal's best contemporary artists, and she lives and works in Bragança - it was very good!
Just north of the city, the Montesinho National Park has plenty of wilderness for trekking, biking and road trips.

Bragança is a cozy little historic town, the main feature being the castle on the hill. Recommend walking along the river to get there. A little bit of a climb to get to the castle but not too bad. Walk the castle walls and then wander the interior. Come back through the charming center of town. Plenty of good little restaurants and cafes along the way.

The beautiful ancient town of Braganca is a good choice for a short stay while being in Porto. The atmosphere of a place far from the beaten track makes it all worthwile. It offers a picturesque old town, numerous museums that one might visit for free, a park where one can stroll along the river and enjoy the views. Plus, there is a castle (Castelo de Bragança), which is a must-see on the list. Being there do not forget to drop in a Tourist Info where you'll find a superkind staff who will help you plan you trip in and around the place. It is also the gateway to the Park Natural de Montesinho. Enjoy!

To stroll around the castle during a late evening is great.
To stroll around the castle during a late evening is great. Perhaps there are some outdoor activities. I liked the town so much, because it's pleasent to walk around - more pleasant than in other towns, but can't define exactly why so.

Braganca is a very welcoming city, the food is amazing.
Braganca is a very welcoming city, the food is amazing. Variety of traditional and more groumet restaurants. The best pastry coffee shops!
A wide range of delicious cakes.
Great water to drink and to wash, your skin and hair will feel soft.
It's very safe!
We liked everything:) Now we've spent over 2 weeks in Portugal, a different place almost every day, I can honestly say it was the best one! In a quiet, traditional granite village, looking historically from the outside but bringing all the comforts of modern home inside. It was without compromising the looks. There was a lot of natural stone and solid wood in fixtures and furniture. Plus some nice antique decor. Lots of space, comfy beds, super clean. It did feel remote but was just 15 minutes drive from Braganca Castle!
The hotel was very clean, it was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The games room/communal area was a very nice touch. Upon arrival I was worried that we had booked into a two star hotel instead of 3, but the hotel was better than most 3 star hotels I have ever stayed in.
The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome. The room was big and had everything we needed. It even had a balcony. This hotel is a gem.
The property was a large one bedroom home in the centre of Braganca. We were there during early January and it was cold outside (overnight was -1C). The home was warm with heating throughout. We cooked our own dinner the day we arrived and the flat had all amenities we needed. Lots of finishing touches welcomed us, toilet paper made into flowers just being one!
We visited the bakery/cafe opposite more than once!
The owner was very nice. The house is a typical Portuguese stone house, with a lot of old style objects shown on the walls and wells as around; the house has everything you would need, cutlery, plates, everything was super clean. Mattresses very comfy. If want to visit Braganca or just have a night stop, that is the place where to go. We will certainly go back
This was a beautiful luxurious space in a great location. The host was more than helpful and accommodating, going out of her way to ensure our stay was great. Unfortunately we did not stay long in Braganca, but the location was excellent to find restaurants, bars and downtown interests.
I immediately felt at home at Inn Door 21. The communal areas are cosy, spacious and well equipped and the room had a great view over the castle. Paolo was a wonderful host, giving me tips about where to eat, what to do and how to get to the SEF office (my reason for visiting Bragança!)
a clean hotel with great staff. Basic facilities met our requirements. Breakfast deserves a special mension, it exceeded our expectations, yes it was continential style, but that suited us fine, the hotel reaaly tried to present a great breakfast choice and importantly top quality
Perfect location with ample street parking. The accomodate was just minutes from the castle and the downtown / old town of Bragança. The place itself was very nice with lots of historical detail and a beautiful courtyard. The staff were very friendly.
The restaurant at the hotel has a Michelin Star. They were able to accommodate us for dinner without advance booking. Despite the seemingly high sticker price, it's actually fantastic value for money and to be recommended.
The location was remote, but very beautiful - just didn’t realize it was quite so far away from Braganca with no cafe or casual food options nearby. Breakfast was good, though would have appreciated more fruit as well
it was really a good place for me . Entire Bragança is literally very beautiful. see you again on my next visit to Bragança . thank you for the service .
