Casa Central de Santa Ana, hotel in Santa Ana

Casa Central de Santa Ana is a 2-star property set in Santa Ana. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace.

The location is great, only a couple of blocks to the Parque Libertad but very quiet. Our room was very basic but large and clean. Wifi is excellent, air conditioning works well as was very nice to have. The shower has hot water, but the bathroom is small and there are no shelves put anything. It was clean, but very old and could use a really deep clean. Remote check-in worked well. There's an on-line Visa payment link, but we asked to pay cash and the owner agreed. I'd rather use Booking to pay with Visa as it is trustworthy. The owner is very helpful and responds quickly to questions.

You see a lot of crap online of wether or not Santa Ana is safeS we had zero problems and never felt unsafe at all. Santa Ana and El Salvador in general have made huge inprovements in safety these last years. The town is nice , you'll strugle to find a building with more than 2 stories. It has preserved it's old world charm. Not supermany things to do or see but a good base to go exploring from

The road especially the side streets are horrible.

The road especially the side streets are horrible. Needs a traffic officer in all the main road that are under construction even at night. I closed my eyes hoping that my husband won’t hit a vehicle as he drove on tight traffic areas. I’m worried that our rental car won’t break down on the unpaved roads- lots of rocks and open pits. The Santa Ana people are very helpful and kind.

Santa Ana is a beautiful city where you can a find an extensive variety of restaurants with delicious food, things to do and friendly locals, 25 minutes from the city you can find El Lago de Coatepeque which is a must see while you are in Santa Ana, you will not regret it.

I really liked the Santa Ana Cathedral.

I really liked the Santa Ana Cathedral. As an amateur photographer, I also liked the colorful and dilapidated buildings around the cathedral. They made a great backdrop for street photography. Unfortunately, I spent only a day here so I was not able to see or do many things in the area. It is a great location to jump off the Ruta de las Flores though. I’m definitely happy that I decided to start the route here and not from San Salvador.

Santa Ana is a medium sized city tucked in the mountains.

Santa Ana is a medium sized city tucked in the mountains. The market is fun to explore and cathedral and theatre are gorgeous. Outside of town there are ruins, volcanoes, and a lake within an hour. The town doesn't have much tourism which gives it a more authentic feel, but also means you won't find many good restaurants around the square or at night.

It is a 2-floor house with 3 bedrooms and amazing shared facilities such as a fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms, and free (!) laundry and drying machine. The owner is super friendly, responsive, and helpful. We talked a lot, not only about El Salvador, but he also gave us nice tips about the city. Also, he speaks fluent Spanish and English! The place was very comfortable and would be a great base for a longer stay in the region. It is located in a very calm and peaceful neighborhood, just like the whole of Santa Ana.

I have to admit, it feels pretty fun to be staying in such a historic house. The rooms were massive (as I suppose one might expect, given it's presidential past) and there was a nice courtyard inside. It would have been hard to get much closer to all of the activity in Santa Ana's main square than this hostel and the area also felt surprisingly safe (even at night). Although we don't remember seeing it advertised, there was a kitchen available (though it was pretty dirty and not the most pleasant to cook in).

I absolutely loved my stay at this property. The staff, Victor and Diego, were exceptional. From the moment we landed to the end of our stay, the staff was attentive and proactive to making sure we were cared for. The views are stunning and the aesthetics of the property/ hotel room is very chic. I would stay here in again and every time, especially at the affordable price point. There also TV with great channels, hot water in shower, comfy beds, and great food!

Best place to stay in Santa Ana. Superb value, with a delicious typical El Salvador breakfast included! Request a room upstairs if possible as we had this and it was by far the best. Amy and her sister will do all they can to help you during your stay. Providing information about where to go and how to get to local attractions by bus. If you are looking to hike the volcano, the bus passes right by the property. Easy as you like.

Best hostal in Central America so far. Marvin, Nestor and the rest of the crew are really nice, welcoming and willing to help. The hostal itself is well located and is perfectly sized with about 8 rooms a common area and a terrace. The rooms are really clean with A/C and really comfortable beds. Breakfast is even included and is really nice as well. But above all the people who work here make it the best place in Santa Ana.

Luis (the owner) and his family were so welcoming and helpful in making sure I have a good experience in Santa Ana - whether it be about day trip recommendations, transportation and food. Luis and his sons answered my thousands of Q’s with so much patience. The hospitality of the stay is unmatched - truly feel like I now have a family in El Salvador!

Hostel offers bike rental which is good. 2 kitchens on the property so plenty of room for guests to cook. Amazing pupusa place around the corner, la Rumba, so cheap!
