The host helped us a lot. When we came we did not have any food with us, he lent us his scooter for free to go get some food in town. We could also store our baggage when exploring the island for a few days. Great location with a nice vibe. Would come again.

Mountain when you like. We did a motorcycle tour. Renting one or a scooter is very affordable and the scenery is very nice. Very great food at the lakefront at Julia’s, almost opposite of ecolodge chiponge
The Italian restaurant in the village on the walking street, without traffic, was great too , especially the pizza

We arrived at the end of the busy season (April 1st) which was nice, but it was hot, water had dried up, and many of the "tours" were not worth the time or money.
The people were great! The food was awesome! And we loved exploring the island on our scooter.
Definitely recommend Cafe Campestre! The pasta was OUTSTANDING and the people were fantastic.
We didn't get a good-vibe from Chocolate Paradise - walked in - many people - nobody acknowledged our existence - so we left

We loved Moyogalpa. It's really colourful.
We loved Moyogalpa. It's really colourful. Some people told us not to stay at the port town but we found it to be awesome, it's cool to have a wonder round day and night and the people are so friendly.

This is a really lovely little town by the port.
This is a really lovely little town by the port. No fuss and in low season when we visited not too touristy. The volcano hike is really tough as it’s constant ascent without respite but very rewarding. Also renting scooters and exploring the island is easy and highly recommended.

Moyogalpa is a nice little town but know that most things you want to do are oh the southern part of the island. It’s a bus/4x4/scooter ride (45 minutes probably) but very quaint with everything you need.
Jean at El Picante restaurant is very amiable and pleasant. The food is good.
Going down to El Peru to kayak the Rio Istián was the highlight of the island.
Had the best stay here. The dorm is super comfortable, spacious and clean. I loved how the room gets natural light, so relaxing. The bathroom is in great condition and always clean. Rich and tasty breakfast, one of the best I've had in South/Central America. The common area and the hammocks are perfect for relaxing. The hostel is located near a quiet street so you won't be hearing all the noise from the tuktuks and motorbikes. The family who owns the place is very sweet and nice, they will help you with everything you need.
The hostel is very well located close to the city of Moyogalpa, where most of the ferries arrive. The hostel is very nice, colorful and so welcoming. Thumbs very very very up for the lovely staff especially Beatrice who is a sweetheart. I was lucky to get a big room instead of the dorm ( which is quite nice ) and everything was so ok. Breakfast is delicious. Omotepe is such a quiet beautiful place with lush jungle full of animals, birds and amazing beaches. I more than highly recommend this hostel and this island
We had an amazing stay at Hotel Victoria! Karliza and Raynor really looked after us. Lovely breakfast and dinner! Our room was huge with great AC, TV with Netflix and super comfy beds. The photos don’t do the property justice, it is beautiful! The gardens are so well kept and tended to, beautiful views of the volcano and a really great pool. We had a really lovely stay, thank you!
Location and surroundings are great. Close to the moyogalpa ferry is very convenient. We rented scooters and it's easy to go through the whole island within a day. Rooms are big with private bathrooms, the common space is super spacious and enjoyable with a nice breeze. Good WiFi. Breakfast is awesome and overall service is absolutely amazing, makes you feel better than home!
Daniela and Tony are wonderful hosts. Daniela's breakfasts are amazing! We really enjoyed our stay at the Ranch. Only a 1km walk into Moyogalpa for meals, etc. Lots of interesting conversations, and helpful advice. Power and Internet outages are common, but generally only lasted and hour or two. Excellent value. We are already missing Rancho Tranquillo <3
Cute little hospedadje in Moyogalpa. Colorful exterior and nice rooftop deck. It was very convenient to walk to from the ferry, with a good location off the main road (less loud, especially on the weekend when music blared on that main street all night). Very good price for a private room. There was a fan, no hot water (as expected).
It was conveniently located quite close to the port. We could walk into Moyogalpa to the restaurants there. There was a restaurant on site with lots of Indian curry options. There were several options for breakfast. They helped to arrange scooters to be delivered to the hospedaje, and a moto-taxi to take us to the port when we left.
Wonderful hotel! Lovely garden atmosphere. Great pool. Sensational home-made food - ice-cream, bread and the best pasta we have ever had. Really lovely staff who helped us organise tours and transport. Lovely private cabin with air conditioning and an outdoor seating area with hammock. One of the best places I've stayed.
Very clean room and bathroom. There are multiple fans in the dorm.
Only a couple minutes walk from the ferry and the main street with restaurants and shops.
There is an outdoor area with large hammocks where you can chill in the shade.
The place is run by a friendly family.
Coco's Hostel is immaculately clean, with a pleasant central garden area tended with care and hung with colorful hammocks. Mayela, the owner, is delightful and does her best to make the guest feel welcome. This is my "go to" place when I am in Moyogalpa.
Reina was exceptional, she welcomed us to the hotel and made the most delicious dinner for us, she then woke up extra early to prepare breakfast for us before we hiked the volcano. She makes this place as incredible as it is, thank you Reina !
great hostel I’m in moyogalpa. we stayed here for one night before taking a very early ferry in the morning. the decor is really cool and there is plenty of spots to chill out in. the women who run it were very friendly and helpful.
Quiet place few minutes from Moyogalpa, everything clean, people superfriendly and helpful and really patient with my "Spanish". Pool, good food, lovely dogs, cats, birds... hamakas. For this price can't be better I think.
Very clean place. The balcony was great and location wise it’s quiet, yet close to main things in the town of Moyogalpa. The lady advised us a good place to eat. Overall a good and comfortable place to stay.
Great little hotel. Very cheap, and a short walk from the ferry. We rented a nice motorcycle for $15 right from the hotel. Very nice staff. The also have laundry service and offer breakfast.
Great location 10 minutes walk into Moyogalpa. Lorena and Martín were very welcoming and helpful. Arranged a scooter for me. Lovely patio with chairs and hammocks.
