Huge room, nicely decorated, super comfy beds in #19! Check in was easy, recommendation for breakfast was spot on at Elixir Cafe on Devon St. Sunday open Market was fun with a live band. The beach cliff walk is amazing too. Thank you front desk Mgr.

Lots of lovely restaurants and bars. Great waterfront walkway with lovely views. Lots of walking options with numerous gardens, park, lake walk and mountain hiking if you are into that. Good museums to visit. Shopping also good.

We loved the location of the Millimium being waterfront and so handy to great cafes shops boutique breweries amd galleries which all we tried were found to be exceptional. Plus we loved the direct access to the board walk to the port past an impressive swimming pool complex then later walked along the pathway in the other direction the Fitzroy beach which had a cafe and outdoor setting on the beach. The whole city seemed safe and attractive and a great place to visit and probably a great place to live.

Good sized room and ensuite.
Good sized room and ensuite. All absolutely spotless and very comfortable. Useful facilities.
Nicely positioned off the main road so nice and quiet but close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. Not too far to coast with beaches and coastal path. Friendly and helpful owner with a good knowledge of area and enthusiasm when recommending things to see and do.

At first wasn’t too sure about New Plymouth but the more we walked around the city the more we liked it. It’s a very tidy city with lots of amazing murals painted on buildings, tidy and clean with every shop you could think off. It is handy to the foreshore and a beautiful walkway and within a few hundred metres from beautiful Pukekura Park on other side of township, a must visit.

Pukekura park and bowl of Brooklins were outstanding
Our prime aim was to visit family
Flamingo motel we can highly recommend
Walkway along the foreshore is a credit to the city
Enjoyed the activities happening at the waitara river mouth
Sea was magnificent
Mountain made a stunning appearance too
Cafe can Morley and devon gr8 coffee
Locals on tukapa gr8 food and coffee
The motel was a short walk to the centre of the city and just across the road from Pukekura Park so a very convenient location. There was a small block of shops within a short waling distance but you would need a longer walk or take the car if you were looking for a supermarket.
It was on a main road but it wasn't noisy.
Beds were very comfortable and linen was clean.
The room had a spa bath but the press switch for the bubbles did not work. It was still nice to have a bath, especially after a day out walking/hiking.
We ended up at the Novotel New Plymouth for 3 nights during the cyclone Gabrielle, as most of the North Island was badly affected and we were looking for somewhere out of the storm. The staff were excellent and extended our stay after it became clear that one day had to be sacrificed because of the weather. We liked the restaurant and bar and were impressed with how comfortable, spacious and modern the rooms were.
We travel a lot and stay in a variety of accomodations from airbnb/batches/hotels and motels. I can honestly say Ratanui exceeded all of the above. The setting is peaceful, host exceptionally friendly, the grounds are beautiful and our villa was modern, impeccably clean, well appointed and the bed was so comfortable and cosy we didnt want to leave. Thank you so much, these weary grandparents are rejuvinated.
This is a 5 star B&B, if you are in New Plymouth for a couple nights, do yourself a favor and stay here. The host was absolutely lovely, had the fire going for us when we showed up. Breakfast is perfect for a light meal before you head out, the building has an amazing view of the mountain if you get lucky with the weather. Felt like our own little flat.
Bella Vista is very nice motel with laundry, the receptionist is very pleasant person, he explain all you can visit in New Plymouth, he give us good restaurant and bar address. That the first time we visited New Plymouth we have very good feeling with Bella Vista. We recommend Bella Vista at all tourists.
It was our first time to stay at Plymouth International and will definitely be staying with them again when we visit New Plymouth in the future. Excellent customer service, great facilities and room is tidy. This hotel definitely exceeded our expectations. It's a great place for family to stay.
This was a last minute booking and we’re pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel. Nice comfy rooms and the restaurant was wonderful! Would highly recommend the calamari!
First time for me and my partner have been to New Plymouth and we absolutely loved it!
This is a very well located hotel. You can easily walk in to town to the shops and restaurants. It was great to have a dish drawer in the unit. It was well suited to our requirements as a family visiting New Plymouth.
Really nice hosts.Hospitality as is should be.Plenty of tea and coffee sachets not like many other sorry so say asian run motels who dont even service your room. I always stay here for my business trips to New Plymouth
Location is excellent. We could walk to the waterfront, the mall, the supermarket. Off street parking right outside our door. The Spa bath was real luxury. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Clean large pretty standard hotel room. Had a nice terrace and good sound insulation. Right in the centre of New Plymouth. Short walk from supermarket. Half an hour walk to Womad.
Location was excellent within easy walking distance to downtown New Plymouth and the water front plus cafes and restaurants. Parking was handy to the hotel and off the street.
