Villa Bella, hotel in Mahe

Providing river views, Villa Bella in Mahe offers accommodations and a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking, and free Wifi.

There was no breakfast; we bought groceries at a local bodega. The hosts were very helpful, but the accommodation was somewhat basic. This stay needs to be rated in comparison to surrounding local options. As such, it was fairly good. But Seychelles accommodations in general appeared to be either quite expensive or somewhat basic. The area is gated with easy parking for good security. A beach is within easy walking distance. The sunrise over the ocean was beautiful.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Jimmy, the host of Villa, showed me perfect beaches and gave papaya and avocado from his garden for back trip. Maya helped me to pay despite that my card stop working. We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival.

We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival. The island is absolutely stunning, from the wild jungle and huge granite mountains to the pristine beaches and indescribably blue sea. The driving is crazy - the roads are not straight with lots of steep curves and bends, so drive carefully if you hire a car to explore the island, which is highly recommended. There are lots of hidden gems - we ate at Maria's Rock which was a fabulous experience, and we highly recommend eating at the Boat House on Beau Vallon beach and the Green House in Au Cap. Buy freshly caught fish from the fish sellers on the side of the road and cook your own - it is cheap and delicious. Food in general, whether you are eating out or buying from one of the local corner grocery stores, is very pricey, so beware! Visit the Botanical Gardens and grab a delicious pastry and ice cream from the Polish owned bakery just across the road and down from the Botanical Gardens entrance. Definitely visit the Mission Ruins in Venn's Town in the Morne Seychellois National Park, the views are breathtaking. Also visit the beach at Anse Soleil for the best sunsets.

I really enjoyed Praslin - I had stayed 6 days in Praslin and 5 in Mahe. If I ever come back (i would love too) i would stay only one day in Mahe and the rest in Praslin. I brought my own coffee, the supermarkers are available but tehy had only nescafe, the available products are imported and expensive compare to Europe(butter, bear, bread and so one). It worth renting a car right from teh boat - if you are nor tired (They drive on the left side !!). Taxi is extremelly expensive and not available - for teh New Year we call two number , did not get any answer so we went using the renting car). You need a car and in my opion public transportation is not a solution. You can pay with car almost everywhere except for taxi (I used Revolut) so you do not need a lot of cash in rupees. Some restaurant they charge you also for service on the bill 5% or 10%. Best Beach Four Season Good restaurant Green House Le duc - Praslin Le repaire- La digue

We hired cars for our holiday group and went shopping, sight seeing of Victoria city and the whole Mahe island and out evenings to restaurants and entertainment. We also did the glass bottom boat full day trip and were pleasantly surprised on this trip to meet his Excellency the State President and First Lady of Seychelles also spending relaxing time at the Beach House on one of the islands, where this lovely couple so graciously addressed the visitors to the island and so kindly gave our group from South Africa audience and a photo shoot opportunity that was the highlight of our visit to Seychelles.

Beautiful island with a little for every taste: amazing beaches (for families, adults and snorkelling), great scuba diving, water activities and excursions, amazing nature trails, good choice of restaurants. If you want to explore the island car rental (40/50 €/day)is a must as public transport is limited (waiting time can be 30/40 mins - 7SR each ride). If you want to explore the best beaches or plantations/waterfalls/attractions consider a car.

Mahe is great! I loved it so much.

Mahe is great! I loved it so much. Firstly the Ocean for sure, with lots of beaches along the costs. There's plenty of activities to do like snorkeling, diving, surfing, kayaking, hiking, etc. Due to Covid-19 they have some restrictions of course but still you can have a great time there. Restaurants and bars are open until 10 pm, but some of them close earlier to allow their staff to get homes before curfew. Shops, minimarkets close at 7 pm. Wearing of masks is mandatory in public places, and they register your name country and temperature at the entrance in every restaurant, café, shop, etc. to have a track of visitors. To get around you can either rent a car or use a taxi, public buses are not allowed for tourists now because of COVID-19. Overall the place is very safe. People are super welcoming, helpful, friendly and always smiling. There's a great choice of what to eat depends on your personal taste but most popular is fish and seafood of course. Just go there, relax by the beach, get some walk around. In Mahe you forget about your everyday problems and routines, you are just enjoying being in the moment.

    Everything is good except Food.

Everything is good except Food. Mahe is very touristic and in most places prices for food are too expensive comparing to what you can get on Praslin or La Digue. Sometimes you pay 2x but get the same or even smaller portions and lower quality in restaurants than on other islands.

The house was nice, and perfectly fitted for our group (two families). Ideal also for a group of friends. Everything we needed was in the house, a big bowl of fruit was prepared on our arrival. The place is private and calm. In spite of that it was close everywhere in Beau Vallon (shop, restaurants), and the beach was only 15 min on foot. Our host Tania was really kind and helpful with everything we needed, gave us useful advises for our trips on Mahé, she helped us to solve one problem even after we have left for an other island.

The property is right on the beau vallon beach which according to me is the best beach in Mahe. We could snorkel on the beach just opposite to our stay. And you will find a sandy beach for swimming towards the left which has nice eateries and beach benches on rent. There are more than a couple restaurants and super markets in the walkable distance. Also the bus stop is right opposite if you are not renting a car. More over Cecile was very welcoming and helpful and also the staff is very friendly and cordial and ready to help.

Everything was perfect!!! The house was very neat and clean! The hosts helped us a lot every time we needed something! More precisely, they helped us not only with the transport to the city (as Jean-Marc took us for an excellent tour around the island of Mahe) but also we stayed 6 hours more at check-out for free . Marie, Jean-Marc, Emma thank you very much for the surprise of the flower decoration, the coconut and your lovely hospitality!!! This was the best service we had among all the trips we have done!!!

We like the house very much. It's super close to the airport. Those who look for a place after/flight , this place is an ideal option. It's very clean and comfortable and the view from the house is stunning. It's 3 min far drive from/to the Seychelles International Airport. Those who don't want to walk to the airport, it's very close, but there's a steep ascent/desert to/from the house. Generally we like this stay and will definitely rent it if come to Seychelles again.

The location is amazing. Manuela, her sister and mum are so lovely and I love that it’s a women’s run establishment. The villas are so tastefully done- a mix of modern plus Creole. The grounds are stunning. Manuela arranged for us to have dinner at the villa one night- strongly recommend that. It is pricey but the food is plentiful (we had 2 meals out of it) and delicious. Overall- we wish we stayed longer. It was the best way to end our trip to Seychelles.

We had an excellent experience staying in a villa at this property. The staff went above and beyond by offering us a complimentary upgrade to their sister property in Hilton Labriz Resort & Spa in Silhouette Island, which made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. We highly recommend this property and will definitely be returning in the future.

Really lovely little villa with it's own plunge pool, just a short walk to the beach. Great start to our holiday in the Seychelles and just down the road from the rum factory. You will need a car if you want to explore more of Mahe as this is the quiet end of the island
