Wonderful farm cottage with everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable time. My wife and I stayed one night but would have been nice to have had a longer stay. The hosts Mark and Carol are lovely and friendly that always made sure you had everything you needed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They have a beautiful property located on 2 acres of avocado trees and a very friendly dog to greets you on arrival. Would definitely recommend for a couples getaway and it's location is perfect to get to everywhere you need to go on the mountain.

Fantastic location with amazing views of the coast. Very comfortable beds and the lounge was great. House had everything we needed. The information provide was also excellent and accurate. Used the outdoor area quite a lot and was great.

We had our stay at The Retreat booked for two years (thanks to COVID), and had the pleasure of communicating with Daryl throughout this time. No question was too silly, and Daryl was always more than happy to make time for us. On the day of our journey to The Retreat, our flight was delayed and we arrived in the mountains in heavy cloud at dusk, to a particularly cool summer night. We had notified Daryl of our late arrival, to which he kindly prepared the property for our arrival, so we did not have to arrive in darkness, lighting us a fire to keep us North Queenslanders warm. I can honestly say, the photographs of the property do not do the true beauty of The Retreat justice, but apart from the obvious beauty, it's all the little things that make this property so welcoming and memorable (right down to the beautiful Christmas tree in the living room). Our only regret is that we did not allocate more time to spend at The Retreat and exploring all that Mount Tamborine has to offer!

Overall 10/10 accommodations would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet luxurious rainforest retreat.

The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use, which made cooking meals comfortable and easy! The spa was another highlight for our group and made incredibly special. Especially at night time with all of Gold Coast lights and the villas lights sparkling together.

The large front window of the room allowed maximum light to enter allowing us to witness thousands upon thousands of lighting strikes safely from inside. The caretakers were careful to make sure that villas are surrounded in rainforest but not having old and wary trees close to cars and villas. Staff came room to room offering water and they cleared fallen trees off the roads quickly. Loved it.MMorganAustralia

Beautiful sounds of birds, and a huge spa bath looking straight out to the rainforest was amazing. Little extra touches like relaxation music playing on arrival, candles, and coffee pod machine. We also enjoyed walking around the property and spotting kookaburras and pademelons, plus patting the resident goats and alpacas. A really special place.
