The property was secure, clean, tidy, and the pool/ garden area was lovely. A short walk to a supermarket, and playa negra. Lots of space for parking if you are planning to rent a car for your trip! Hosts were super helpful with any requests and particularly with transport as we did not rent a vehicle of any sort during our stay.

Once in a while you find a place with that special feeling. Casa Kimba is what happen when doing things with love. It is rare to meet people with such positive and servicing attitude as Jose. He goes way beyond expected to make you feel home, and adjust himself to any customer. For example for us it was the first days of our trip and Jose patiently gave us a lot (!) information (seriously this man's knowledge about Costa Rica better than any Google search) and helped us to plan our trip. He was available anytime for any question and always kind and helpful. The casa well equipped and beautifully decorated. We were surprised how it was much beautiful than the pictures. It is located in a very quite and green area (super friendly and safe) and still in the center of town. Perfect peaceful place to relax after long day of activities. Amazing and very recommended.

The villas are very well equipped to cook anything you like! You can tell the person in charge cares about maintenance and does a good job at it. The pool was cleaned everyday, I asked for more sheets and towels and they were provided right away. Communication was excellent and easy via Whatsapp. Highly recommended for a group of four or family with kids. Very private, you can hear the monkeys howling and all kinds of birds chirping. Close to all main beaches (Cocles, Puerto Viejo and my fave, Punta Uva).

Good location, very clean and aesthetically pleasing, comfortable bed & great blackout curtains. Shower was fair pressure and the water was hot. Loved seeing the howler monkeys outside in the trees, the sloth down the road and the birds in the garden. The owner was very pleasant and proactive. Aircon was great and WiFi was good. We enjoyed ourselves in spite of the comments below, thank you for hosting us.

Situated in a jungle where you don’t expect one (close to infrastructure, 7 minutes walk to the supermarket and beach) you can spot so many animals (monkeys, butterflies, birds, frogs, …) from your open kitchen, bedroom or rooftop. It is a quiet place perfect to relax and unwind. The villas are completely new and offer everything you need (including a well equipped kitchen). The host is wonderful and helps you in any way possible to make your stay comfortable and unforgettable. I very much enjoyed my stay!

Location is pretty far from town; I would recommend renting a scooter to come and go more easily; we had trouble getting a taxi.

Fran and Andy are incredibly friendly and authentic and do everything possible to make your stay unforgettable. There is absolutely nothing to improve. The breakfast is delicious, the coffee service in the morning is the best feature I have ever experienced, the garden and the villas are sensational. Thank you for everything!
