Once in a while you find a place with that special feeling. Casa Kimba is what happen when doing things with love. It is rare to meet people with such positive and servicing attitude as Jose. He goes way beyond expected to make you feel home, and adjust himself to any customer. For example for us it was the first days of our trip and Jose patiently gave us a lot (!) information (seriously this man's knowledge about Costa Rica better than any Google search) and helped us to plan our trip. He was available anytime for any question and always kind and helpful. The casa well equipped and beautifully decorated. We were surprised how it was much beautiful than the pictures. It is located in a very quite and green area (super friendly and safe) and still in the center of town. Perfect peaceful place to relax after long day of activities. Amazing and very recommended.

We got the unit on the second floor. It had 2 bedrooms. Super comfy 200cm width bed. Fully equipped kitchen though the kitchen is outdoors, might not fit everyone. For us it was great. Barely any mosquitoes even outdoors. Nice place to buy fruits 5 minutes walk and a big organic supermarket less than 10 minutes walk. The beach is very close to the flat, big waves but we built sand castles with our baby so it was fine. It was very relaxing stay in a peaceful environment. They even have a laundry machine and were very responsive to all our requests. Felt very secluded. 10 minutes walk from the Jaguar Rescue Center.

The villas are very well equipped to cook anything you like! You can tell the person in charge cares about maintenance and does a good job at it. The pool was cleaned everyday, I asked for more sheets and towels and they were provided right away. Communication was excellent and easy via Whatsapp. Highly recommended for a group of four or family with kids. Very private, you can hear the monkeys howling and all kinds of birds chirping. Close to all main beaches (Cocles, Puerto Viejo and my fave, Punta Uva).

Miguel, Marta and their sons were so kind and welcoming. They helped us with everything and made our trip very special. They picked us up, lent us bikes and took us on a trip that we definitely wouldn’t have found. The garden was beautiful and although on the same grounds as their house, it felt very secluded and private. It was a joy to cook and eat outside and the rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. A lovely hot shower too! We cycled to the local beach in 5 mins and to the main town in 10-15. There are so many restaurants nearby to chose from. It was nice to be near the excitement of the town but also have some peace and quiet. You can get a Tuk Tuk into town for a few dollars. Highly recommend- definitely one of our favourite places in Costa Rica!!

Good location, very clean and aesthetically pleasing, comfortable bed & great blackout curtains. Shower was fair pressure and the water was hot. Loved seeing the howler monkeys outside in the trees, the sloth down the road and the birds in the garden. The owner was very pleasant and proactive. Aircon was great and WiFi was good. We enjoyed ourselves in spite of the comments below, thank you for hosting us.

Awesome little spot on the beach that feels very natural and secluded, with food and drink delivery to your chairs. Loved the private villa with plunge pool (although waterfall wasn't working, unfortunately). Food quite good, although restaurant and bar close at 9 pm. Location is pretty far from town; I would recommend renting a scooter to come and go more easily; we had trouble getting a taxi.

Breakfast is PHENOMENAL. The hammocks are a huge plus. Pool is clean and beautiful, lots of animals around, gorgeous garden and villa terraces where they provide you with morning coffee. We loved hearing the birds at dawn while drinking our coffee. The hosts were super helpful and provided excellent tips, and went out of their way to help us with small issues.MearaYoung couple

The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. There are not many properties in the area that offer a private villa in nice surroundings. The team were friendly and welcoming. Fran and Andy are incredibly friendly and authentic and do everything possible to make your stay unforgettable. There is absolutely nothing to improve. The breakfast is delicious, the coffee service in the morning is the best feature I have ever experienced, the garden and the villas are sensational. Thank you for everything!
