Grindavik is a functonal fishing village, not blessed with resturants a plenty but most interesting to visit, I would spend more time here to see the operations. Its also close to the Blue Lagoon 0 about 10 mins away.

Lovely clean and welcoming warmth about the apartment and a host that went above and beyond (brought us a blender to make smoothies for our son who was off his food during our stay). great communication and easy contact free check in. we self catered but proximity to restaurant (next door) was great! Nice area for exploring coast, geothermal area and Blue Lagoon, a welcome retreat from a day of travelling as well!

We also enjoyed a unique in water massage. The hotel is spotless and smells wonderful. The rooms are simple but luxurious. Great breakfast.
