Perfect ski lodge for our large family. The owners were very hospitable and quick to respond to our questions and needs. We took ski and snowboard lessons with Sam, Taki, and Kotone at Nozawa and Togari, and as it turns out Taki’s wife is a world class baker who cooked up the best breakfast buns this side of the Pacific. Thank you for making our family trip extra memorable!

The service was exceptional. As a first time skier in Japan, I had so many questions, but Liane patiently answered all of them! And while we were there, the assistance we received was outstanding, not to mention the free ride home from the fire festival which made it so much easier to visit.

2 min walk to Madarao ski resort. Free and amazing onsen inside the hotel. Only 1000 yen for snowboard rental from the host. Kitchen inside room.

nice and cozy with a fireplace . it was very warm which is not typical in Nagano houses. It is very spacious for a big group and the kitchen is very nice. also there is a ski resort is really close to the house.

Lovely open plan living spaces on ground floor, secluded location (with a temperamental baby we didn't have to be worried about crying waking neighbours), great bathroom, drying room and washing facilities, very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Free local bus to the Nagasaka gondola just up the street, very helpful staff from the nearby sister lodge (assisted with free lifts to town etc). We asked for a cot and a high chair and this wasn't a problem.

Location is a short 5-10 minute walk into the main part of town. Super comfy quilts. We were there in February so naturally a cold time of year. They had lots of heaters thankfully, but once turned off, the house got cold very quickly again. They arranged parking for us close by for a good price.
